Installed oem power steering rack, fluid in the reservoir foams and overflows when turning the wheel. Leaving the engine running and pouring in more fluid just gets sucked up fast. No leaks and all lines are tight.

Any ideas? Whenever I try to bleed the system the reservoir just foams and overflows, ps pump making noise consistent with running dry. First steering rack install, everything seems hooked up properly. Should I just try to keep bleeding system? Not sure why air is getting in the system. Connections in reservoir and pump also tight, never messed with em

You can bleed it a bit shut off but that only gets you so far. It does take time. The same thing happened to my 2G and a friends 1G j was bleeding. Sounds awful and turned it off to start again and then a few mins later its all good. Its not the best system to bleed without making a mess d either. Glad you got it resolved and working now
