I need to get 2 air can clips, Ive just bought my car and it only has one, im hacking the air filter can tommorrow, and ive bought the K&N so all i need now are those clips, or does anyone know what I can do in place of the clips?

Thanks, Tim

you could use clips from other cars in the junkyard, or just drill a hole and put a screw or even zippy tie thru the hole ( you'll need to cut it thou ecerytime you wanna take filter out)

Thanks, about how much would that cost at the junk yard? Would the mitsubishi dealer sell just the clips? Im looking for cheap solution here, LOL.

Thanks all, Tim

they're clips, how much can they cost really, just put them in your pocket. I don't think the dealer would sell just the clips but even if they did why would you wanna pay their prices when you could get a whole air can for probably half the price on ebay or at junkyard. Post a wtb ad in here too, someone might have one for sale.

pfft, mitsu wants 47, one junkyard wants 35, and another wants 30.

What is good to use for an intake tube, I may just run a tube to the airfilter, I dunno....

This really pisses me off, all I want are the clips!!

o well....

Im hacking the air can tonight.....

This sucks.... I shoulda bought the neon :)

kk, I just used steel wire and drilled holes, then twisted the wire tight, its bugging me cause its not right (Im OCD), but it works. With the nice big hole in my can, and the K&N filter, my car just chirped shifting into third (1.8L). Im very proud of my lil POS!

Big improvement over stock, thats the only mod I have too, I prolly gained 15-17HP.

And im not dumb, or joking.

I highly doubt that. 8hp if your lucky. I use these on mine and they work real well. Take the little prongs out once they are installed so they look good.

Enter your zip when prompted after clicking the link.

i went to the dealer and they only sell the entire can and sensor together but at the Junk Yard, I got them to sell me two clips for ten bucks only because they would normally sell the entire unit as well. Just go to a wreckers. easy
