Is it absolutley needed to have an aeromotive fpr just because of the name. I realize you get what you pay for but are there any alternatives to the aeromotive?

http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ebaymotors/...tem=7939708430&category=33554&sspagename=WD1V

Is this kit worth the price and does it reall come with everything you need to make it a bolt on affair? Never put an afpr on before(especially one with fittings and stuff) so that's why i ask.

Thanks for any imput.

The 1:1 rate regulator... A rising rate is'nt used too often on DSM's

Lets say boost is at 10 psi.. A 1:1 regulator would be 43.5psi + 10psi = 53.5psi..

A rising rate would be like 43.5psi + boost x rate... 10psi could be a 12psi raise.. 12 psi a 16 psi etc... It depends but probably not needed on dsm's

You want a FPR that can adjust the fuel pressure up and down...Most can just raise it not lower it...That is one reason people get the Aeromotive unit

The aeromotive one requires alot of fabrication.

Lets see what else is there:
full throttle bolt in one.
aeromotive maks a bunch of fprs
MagnaFuel
Barry Grant
holley

ANY FPR will work thats for fuel injection and is boost referencing. Its just the aeromotive one is the cheapest one... (the B-G units are all over $300)

So nobidy answered my question. Does that aeromotive kit come with everything needed to bolt on and hook the lines up and make everything run right?

Also it looks to me like that kit on Ebay comes with the fitting so yes it would be a bolt on affair. The same exact stuff can be had a www.slowboyracing.com for about the same price, thats where I got my setup.

^^^^^^^^ Does that bolt right on and does it have a gauge? Can u ajust it up and down?

his FPR kit is basically waht slowboy sells, except its fully assembled for a few dollars more

its not the FPR or gauge itself, i bought those from slowboy, but anything AN or braided i get from him

No Aeromotive does not make a kit to bolt on to a dsm, they just make the regulators. But as you can tell from other posts there are many companies that sell the aeromotive fpr with the install kit that is needed for a dsm, eg slowboy and yes from what I can tell the kit that you see on ebay does include all the hoses & fittings to install the regulator properly. I would highly recommend the aeromotive fpr as they are very good quality and personally I wouldnt want to cheep out on something as important as the fuel system.

When you quoted my question, did you understand that i was asking about the kit that i posted from ebay?

??? If you read my post I said "and yes from what I can tell the kit that you see on ebay does include all the hoses & fittings to install the regulator properly"

Here a link to a sample install kit that would include everything to hook up a fpr. According to the description from the ebay link you posted, all of this should be included making it a complete bolt-on kit.

So yes I did understand that you were asking about the kit on Ebay. :thumb:

I bought an AFPR, -6AN hose, and some fittings. Its real easy to part together your own kit. Download the Aeroquip pdf catalog from thier site, look through the catalog and write down the part numbers you need then just an order with a vendor....I normally order these parts through summitracing.
