Advice on New Motor

Unfortunately I locked my motor the other day. I took it to a shop in New Orleans who told me that they could get put in a remnufactured one for $2600. Today they called me and told me that they only do non-turbo motors but that they could get me a used motor installed (40000 miles) for $3900.

Should I take this offer or do you guys know a better place to get a motor? I need to move pretty quickly since my car is waiting at the shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way, I have a 97 GST with no mods.

look on the forums for a used 2g motor and swap it in ... the whole thing could be fixed for $1500 if you play your cards right. And what kind of shop only deals with non turbo motors?????
