Am i just asking for trouble running the 2600 clutch with a stock car? I mean i have big intentions with this car its just that its all stock right now and it needs a new tranny/clutch and i figure might as well get this out of the way while the tranny is off...I will most likely do a home made boost controller and up the boost and have like a home depot intake or something...wiht alot more mods to follow, i just need to get this car rolling off my driveway..Thanks

Or should i go with another clutch for the time being until i get more mods as in the 2100 or like a clutchmasters or somethign???thanks

I am close to stock aswell and am probably going to go with the ACT 2600. I think the main difference is mainly the pedal feel and the price.

Yea thats wha ti was thinking...but it will probly be modded following the clutch tranny install depending on the cost of parts, so well seeOMG

The 2600 clutch will definately be too big for a stock car , i would go with a 2100 ...which is good with a 16g but if you were going to go with a 20g then go with a 2600 , but it really isn't necessary to have such a large clutch. But i would plan ahead for how far you want to go with your car

I would say go ahead with the 2600, I just finished installing mine this weekend and It's great. The pedal feel is not bad a all nothing to complain about.

IM just going to get the 2600 tomorrow becuase im trying to actualy mod this car right the 1st time instead of redoing everything as i get deeper and deeper into the money pit, Plus i plan to have a 20g shortly after i get it all smogged and some more mods to go along with it...So ACT 2600 here i come...

Im getting ready to swap out my stock clutch cause its got about 30k miles on it and is starting to act up. its never worked that great (stupid dealership). ive just done all my modding but i figured a 2100 would be big enough for what i got. when the 2600 comes into mind i wanna get an aftermarket flywheel as well to handle some of that pressure. does anyone know about the upgraded metal sleeve throw out bareing though? is it worth getting and will it last?:talon:

Go with the 2600 for sure....but do not use the metal sleeved bearing that comes with the ACT, it does not mesh so well with the DSM transmissions..........
