I just ordered a fp3065 and 3" intercooler piping for my 91 talon. I am ordering an intake manifold in the next couple days, have not decided which one to get yet. I am looking for a 75mm tb. I have dsmlink with rc 1000 cc injectors. My question is, iac and tps. What do you do about them. I assume the iac is no more. What do I do for a tps? I want an accufab 75mm tb. Where do I get a tps or wire a new one in or????? Any help will be greatly appriciated. Thank you.

Normally if you run the AEM unit you change everything over to Mustang settings. If your running the stock ECU then your screwed. (To my knowledge)

he said he's running dsmlink, hell it's right in the post you quoted.

I have used the BBK 3" throttle body, essentially a mustang upgrade. It came with a TPS sensor and plug. all that was needed was to wire it in correctly, in place of the stock TPS. There was no provision for an ISC motor, idle adjustment was accomplished with a set screw. Basicily the set screw just cracks the throttle blade allowing you to set some what of a base idle, but that is about it.

Thanks for the replies. I have read that the accufab tb is the strongest out there. For what I am doing, I am going to need the accufab. There has to be a way to do it. I need help people. My turbo is on the way and I need to figure this out so I can order my intake manifold and the tb. HELP!!!!!!

I'm running Buschur Racing 3" UICP to 1G NT TB. I believed CursedGSX is running this very setup and has made over 700whp. What I've heard about the Accufab TB is, the throttle shaft can break if you're not careful. Hope this helps.

I'm actually setting up a 75mm BBK right now. Can you tell me how you wired yours to save me some time please? Also, did you have to alter the throttle linkage on yours? It seems mine has about a 1/2" smaller radius. Which puts the pedal only half way down at full throttle. Thanks.

Andy

I use a 70mm from mustang racing. it came with the tps(3 wire) connected those and made modification to the throttle linkage. pedal only goes a little more than halfway too. I put a stud under the pedal so I wont force the throttle when WOT.

Thanks for the replies. I acctually found an accufab tb with a 1g tps on it. There is a little plate that holds it on. Should work fine. As for intake manifold, I was looking at a JM Fabrication intake manifold. What do you guys think? It looks to be a cross between a bj's intake and a magnus. Here is the link to the site. Let me know what you think. Thank you again.

well Holland is less than an hour from me, so I may be able to stop by if need be. If you have one of the repair manuals, with the wiring diagrams, and you can read them, you should have no trouble wiring the TPS included with BBK throttle body. You will just need a DVM to verify which wires V+, & V- on the TPS sensor itself.

I used a non-cruse throttle cable, and had to fabricate a mount to position it correctly, in respect to the throttle body.

Well, I ordered one. We will see if it does the job. Can't wait to get the fp3065, intake manifold and intall everything with my indy racecore 216 front mount and make the 3 inch intercooler piping. My car should be much faster than before. I had a big 16g with a 100 shot into the t/b elbow. Now I am going with the 3065 and direct port. Should be impressive.

Your poor drivetrain!!!

As mentioned above I dont really think you need the Accufab TB.
I doubt the 1G would be a bottleneck at your power level.

Also, I would review this link:

To late. I have the t/b allready. I want everything to match for my piping. I am getting the inlet and outlet on my indy racecore front mount cut off and three inch ones put on. I have the 3 inch i/c pipes on the way. It would be pointless to do 3 inch piping and a stock t/b.

Well if you ask me 3" intercooler piping is pointless. Its just gonna take more time to fill those pipes up and it probably adds weight.

But since you are hell bent on big @ss pipes then I suppose the accufab is a must.

Either way that fuxxer is gonna rip!

well it will take more time to fill a 3" I/C pipe than a 2.5" one, but how much?

Lets say you have a 2.5" intercooler pipe that is 28 inches long it's volume would be
137.44 cu/in, and if we had an identical length 3" i/C pipe it's volume would be
197.92 cu/in. Which means the the 3" pipe has 60.5 cu/in more volume to fill.

Then lets use a big 16G turbo flow rate of 550 cfm @15 psi. 550 cfm = 950,400.27 cu-in/min pf air flow. If we then convert that to how many cu/in of flow per second we get 15,840.0045, what was are difference in pipe volume oh yes 60.5 cu/in. So what it will take roughly 15 ms longer to fill to 3" pipe, however most people using 3" piping are running much larger turbos than a big 16G.

I had planned to just play around w/ the wiring until I got it. So I guess I'm on the right track. I had thought about putting a stopper under the pedal as someone else mentioned but I think I would rather modify my linkage so I can keep the full pedal movement.

I have the day off today to try and finish this car so hopefully I'll have it all set here but if you'd like to stop down Big Woo you're more than welcome. We plan to fire the car up tomorrow for the first time. It should be a pretty wild ride this year. I always like having DSMer's around who actually know their stuff, which doesn't happen alot in these parts... Just PM me if you'd like directions.
