its more for rain also, zinc naturally gets corrosive and discolors then it can crack and lodge into the threads. its more to keep moisture from binding the two, salt and snow wont effect it up there but rain water will and that will eat into it over time. if you got them out without breaking then you are one lucky guy but 2 chassis i had both got snapped bolts in the rear. with all the detail you putting in i think a smear of lube will go along way in the future for youI'm not using any on these small bolts. I took them all out without an issue and the car is 24 years old. The car will never be in salt/snow again. I'm not worried about it. I'll use it on some of the suspension bits for sure, though.
Also, don't ever plan on removing these in the future anyway hahaha
