Nice build man. Coming along nicely. Makes me miss building mine except for the spending too much money part. ROFL just realized you are from nm aswell. At least there is someone descently close to me.
I hear you on the spending money! Im trying to keep a certain amount of self control. Sometimes I want to order stuff even though I know I shouldn’t! But i don’t have that much into it. All the performance parts were included with the shell.
I think I had seen a few parts for sale in Carlsbad recently. Must have been you?

I don't think so. I don't have many leftover parts. I have a few laying around but for the most part I don't try to sell parts. If my car was streetable I would come for a meet. It's not registered or insured. Pretty much just a track car now a days. I'm gonna play with the fwd a little more and try to break 10s then go auto awd.

Following up. Clutch is 100% slipping. I haven’t been nice to it in the 300-350 miles I’ve been breaking it in. Only slips in first under WOT.

Also I installed a generic 3 inch exhaust today. The HKS 60mm was tiny in comparison. Plus for $108, it’s hard to complain. I think I’ll buy a muffler at some point. Vibrant street power is what I would like.
A Blow off valve is on the way too. My HKS set up isn’t working right. Not sure the cause, but the issue is it doesn’t blow off. I cut the spring a coil to soften the release/pressure needed. No luck even with another vacuum source.

it should be making cool sounds if nothing else LOL

Only thing I don’t like is how low it hangs

Washing the babies.
Ordered a couple of couplers because I initially had to cut one in half when assembling the car. It worked for a bit.
About to order a new clutch. Comp stage 3 is what I’m considering.

Got my Comp Clutch in. 2600lb 6 puck sprung. I’ll be installing and working towards final mods before a tune.

I’m torn between mods and turbo upgrades and what direction to go in.
1) max out current small 16g on 660s
2) small 16g on E85
3) 20g (I wish the eBay tdo5s were good)
4) FP green

if I wanted to spend more money I would go FP. If I wanted to spend a lot less I could maximize what I have a live with it.

Duck.
lost a nut off the ball joint. Luckily it was when I came to a stop. It was actually right under the joint. Pretty lucky I guess. Could have been on the road doing 75-80. Not lucky enough to not have it happen.
Going to try and fix it a little and roll the fenders while she’s under the knife for the clutch

Clutch job done!

- Comp stage 4 2600lb
- Comp forged fork
- new axle seal
- new passenger axle (driver side was already replaced
- fresh Synchromesh

heat wrapped the down pipe.very poorly might I add ; ) LOL . But I didn’t want to take the dp off. And didn’t want to deal with the wet wrap. So I did a good job for what it was. I’ll redo it later when I drop the turbo/dp eventually.

also added a little more heat tape on the charge pipes and replaced 2 couplers.

going to roll the fenders and fire her up tomorrow

Been to a couple more cars/coffee’s.... last weekend met up with a couple dudes. A 2g Talon and an Evo X.
This week there was 5 of us. 3 1gs, and 2 2gs. I have to say mine was the looker of the bunch... probably the slowest though.

still baby steps on the clutch break in. Feels like engagement is like all the way to the floor. I’m hoping for adjustment/bleed to fix the feel of it. Seems to be ok otherwise. Engine sound much smoother since the TOB Isn’t whining. Also have a lot less chatter since it’s sprung disc.

I did end up rolling the fenders. No more rubbing.
I would like to run a 245-255 when these tires wear out.

Forgot to mention I removed the. Exhaust gaurd I had cut out of vinyl and installed the replacement tail lights I picked up locally. They’re in much better shape than mine.

Thinking about E85 on my small 16g. I’ve seen numbers anywhere from 300-400whp. I would be happy down the middle and a healthy running balanced build.

still working on the miles on the clutch. Soon enough hopefully the weather will cooperate and this all can be done

Update:
More miles down on clutch break in. About 250 to go and she’s getting tuned!

Clutch pedal was adjusted and bled. Lines must have been dirty. She’s all new from the pedal to the fork except for the SS line that was already there. We flushed the system and cleaned the residue in the reservoir.

She can use a good wash. The windshield is quite dirty on the inside. I may pull all the old tint. There’s a lot of old decals that were sunburned in. Some aren’t so bad like the DSMTUNERS on the side 1/4 window. But the EAT/SLEEP/RACE has to go LOL

Picked up 1000cc injectors and ordered tank to rail fuel kit for e85.
Well only way with the break in miles. About 100 to go! Trying to schedule a tune before the strip opens here.

Foolishly almost traded for a clapped out 350z. Glad it didn’t work out honestly. I’ll be much happier with this on a e85 tune and a few more details like NRG Seats and a lip kit

E85 line parts should be here this week. I’m trying to have them built and installed this weekend.
injectors will be installed too. I’m trying to link up with twisted motion for a td05 20g for a dyno test/tune review

All done. They’re simpler than I imagined. Almost a shame they won’t be seen.

-replaced the lines and filter
-replaced the injectors with the 1000s (low z)
-drained the tank, flushed it, and topped it off with e85
-zip tied all the vacuum lines
-new BPR7ES plugs
-oil changed

took it to the tuner. It’s awesome, he’s right down the street!

but- bad o2 and knock sensor... got them ordered.

First of all, car feels great. I’m feeling better about driving it on the road. And I will say that e85 goes QUICK LOL
But I’m starting to feel a bit underwhelmed. Understanding it’s a small 16g @ 16psi (still going to turn up the boost) I was hoping to be in the neighborhood of 300. Reading about 16g/e85 setups being closer to 350hp had my hopes up. Of course they were running “25-28psi”. Which would lead me to believe that is is possible on this set up and 10 more psi. My log graph numbers showed 250hp/280tq, but then wheel hp drops a few points. I guess I’m just itching for more. I understand that I’ll be better off going with a bigger turbo to hit my goals of 300-350.
Plan is to enjoy the car for the summer and aim for a FP Green this winter or spring next year

I turned up the boost to 22psi. Working a few things around to maybe have a new FP set up come mid summer.

Can’t decide for the FP Green or 68HTA. I plan on the manifold and intake as well. I don’t want to feel disappointed with overall numbers again, but also don’t want another snowball of parts. Fuel would only need new injectors I guess. Clutch should hold. Axles are under warranty...

So far I’ve been enjoying the car a little more worry free. Cold starts on e85 and 1000cc low z injectors kinda sucks.
