So my car will not start, sometimes I get lights on the dash and then when I click it over to attempt start, I get nothing and then lose 100% power. I've tried 2 different known running batteries and no power still. Checked for corrosion and unplugged wires and burnt fuzes, wires, terminals are tight.

Everything looks good but I found this mystery wire on the right side of the engine bay fuse box.
This car has never been modified by the original owner which was an old lady. All I've done is aesthetic work so idk what is going on with it.

Any insight would be appreciated.

The crimp connector looks aftermarket and I don't see a ground there in the FSM but I don't have a 97 GSX to compare with. This is where I grounded my headlight circuit so the fogs would stay on with high beams on my 91.

My '97 GSX does not have that wire. Power cutting out on key turning to start sounds like the ignition switch for the key could be failing. Does wiggling the key around help restore starting when this happens?
