Why is that clutch disc hub so chewed up?
bought the car in 2020 and never been able to launch the car. Or get too much into boost. It had a lot of the clutch disc material everywhere but never had no problems with anything else. What’s your opinion?

Why is that clutch disc hub so chewed up?
The chunks u see on the disc is dust build up and just chunks that was falling off everything. It didn’t have no big hole in it.

No man. The splined area. Looks all chewed up
Man it’s dirty grease or whatever. it’s really don’t look that bad. Everything was so nasty. The shaft and all that looks perfect don’t think the shaft was leaking. But even the throw out bearing had so much clutch material and built up oil/gear oil/grease/whatever all over it everywhere caked on.

It's must be an illusion. Looks like chewed up metal. If there is grease everywhere something wasn't right. TOB failed?

It never made no sound and never really had a problem getting it in and out of gear. I was thinking Mabe the front input axle seal in transmission. Cuse looking at pic. No oil or anything on one side of clutch disc. Then on the transmission side of clutch disc u see the oil/whatever. Realy hope it’s not the seal. But thinking it’s possible..

when I cleaned the transmission I made sure there was not no front input shaft play or anything. And it was clean when I did it. But yeah

But yeah? Meaning tob failed?

Front input axle seal?
You mean input shaft seal?
If the bellhousing was all oily that's about the only place that can happen on a fwd. If it were engine it would be obvious

Yea the front input shaft yes.. My fault.

So have about 600 miles on the new clutch and must say.. so glad I got it over with. Also not a leak one. Impressed with the fact I have not had no problems. Took two installs of the Trans to make sure the clutch fork postion was spot on. Figures crossed. Time to mess with the boost controller alittle and add some fuel.. :D

For the benefit of the readers why did it take 2 tries?

Of course the first time I installed it first thing i looked at was the clutch fork postion and noticed the clutch fork was adjusted too far to the left in the hole so i had to pull it back off to shim the the pivot ball. Then added the washer behind the pivot ball and reinstall it. Then Looked at the postion again and barley alittle more to the right in the clutch hole. Then bolted up the slave and it was perfect did not push on the fork at all and the slave worked as it should. When into every gear with ease (b4 I started it) after that put it all back together and added fluid then started it and did the same thing made sure it went into every gear.. so far so good 👍

Did you verify flywheel step height? I say this because there are a number of reasons that affect fork position.

Bought a new flywheel. From vendor on this sight. Who the place i bought it from verified the correct step height. Also new clutch.

I only say this because after dozens of trans drops I like to measure for myself no matter who did it.
I understand that. I was very very worried my self to get everything right. I talked to the vendor in person and showed my concerns and he assured me. Just for the fact I never done that kinda measuring b4. Who knows if I would even read it or check it right.. that's why I showed concern b4 I spent so much on a flywheel and then to have to have it resurfaced don't make sense. So that's the steps I took. It seems to have worked out.

Thank you man. Appreciate it alot. Love these things..
Damn, you've got all the right parts on this thing! You've got her hooked up proper bro! Well done 👏
