okay heres the deal I searched and I think its a bad sensor but i wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas.

this car is a 96 in beutiful conditiion and i want it as a daily driver i can get it for a grand it has a new 2.0 engine

heres the problem:

cranks up fine, idles good, put it in drive, will move strong for about 10 sec then it just revs and goes nowhere, you can put it any gear and it wont do anything. but if you turn the car off then crank right back up and itll go into gear right away, then it repeats the problem again. another thing it wont go into reverse at all.

so what do you think?
is it a bad sensor? is it a bad tranny? any help please
