I have a 95 transmission in my car but have a 98 transmission sitting in my garage that a friend of mine gave me. It has double syncros, welded diff, etc. in it but I know you can't use a 98 transmission with a 95 transfer case because of the gear ratio differences. So I'm just wondering which parts are different exactly? My transmission is leaking and figured if I just took out the parts from the 98 that won't work, that'd be awesome. I also have 2 stripped bolt holes where the transfer case bolts up on my 95 so only have 3 bolts holding on the transfer case so wanting to use the 98 housing with the upgraded internals, and take my 4 spider diff out of my 95 and swap over to the 98 as well if that will work. Anyone able to help with some knowledge in this area? Thanks!
