Hello Tuners im starting a build thread for my GST I call the Black Widow I started this build back in 2013 I had some ups an downs in life an had to put it on hold for a while.

I picked up the car for $300 came with a trans an complete head no motor. The plans for this car is to DD it but have some fun with a cyclone intake an a 20g or 16g havnt decided yet plus a few other goodies. Heres the pics an thanks for checking out my thread.

This is what I do when I cant sleep an stay up till the early morning hours in my garage drinking beer. Front subframe cleaned an rebuilt new boots, ball joints, tie end rods, end links.

So I have decided to put my talon on hold an finish up my eclipse, I picked up an 92 talon awd with a nice list of goodies on it the only down fall was some one had put a body kit on the car an repainted it a different color :chair:

So I decided to pull the motor an goodies an drop them in the black car :cool:
Current mods:
- Crower valves + springs an crower 280 cams
- Cyclone intake manifold
- Eagle rods an wiseco pistons
- DNP exhaust manifold
- Mitsu 20g turbo
- 3 inch turbo back exhaust
- RC 1000cc injectors
- Walbro 190 fuel pump
- Fuel pump rewire
- Aeromotive fpr
- Fluidyne radiator
- Act 2600 PP Act street disc

That pretty much sums it up I might be forgetting a few things but ill add them later. I plan on re gasketing the motor an adding some ARP head-studs. On to the pics!!

I was able to salvage the old gaskets an make a template on card board i may look in to getting a few sets made since the gaskets have been discontinued by Mitsubishi

Alright I have a small update! I know I have been slacking on my cars but its so dam hot normally 100-115 degrees out side I have been working like crazy an been talking to a new lady friend :cool:

I rebuilt my throttle body the other day, pretty easy. Shout out to Red for showing me where to buy the correct seals.

Wow all 3 1g versions, Gata love it. I really want a laser myself. Trying to steel my buddies as he hasn't done anything to it for a while, and it's in my moms driveway. But love the build

I got a few things done on the Black Widow

Exhaust is done an welded up it has a Megan down pipe to 3 inch cat to OBX muffler. Nothing fancy but its all 3 inch an looks clean.

I filled the car with fluids an double checked every thing. I have a small gear oil leak coming from the passenger transmission seal.

I tried to fire the car up the other night but it wouldn't crank at all. I pretty sure my new starter is no good thanks Auto zone.

Well what do you know I think we are about due for an up date...

With the help of a local DSMer and tuner, N8tune we got the car started the other day but im having problems with cylinder 4 an 1 not getting spark. I have swapped the transistor unit, coil pack and CAS with used ones an get the same problems. It seems like this problem comes an goes as it will only run on all four cylinders when im the only one around :nono: When I show my brother or friends the car runs like shit an sputters on two cylinders :banghead:

I need to get my volt meter out an check all the ignition voltage an see if I can source this problem. Im guessing its most likely a loose wire or bad connection some where.

Im happy it starts an some what runs now just need to fix the bugs an fine tune. The Black Widow should be hitting the streets soon! Thanks for checking in.
 
Like always im running behind... Its been 6 months so ill do an update.

I found the problem to the spark issue. It was a bad solder connection :rolleyes:

Ok got the car running on 4 cylinders every thing was going good then BAM air bubbles in my coolant WTF??? When I replaced the timing belt I swapped the stock head studs for ARP one by one. I will never do it again or recommend doing it LOL you have been warned! DONT DO IT

So the mad scientist an I tore this bish back apart. Notice the steam cleaned piston.

Got the head decked picked up a MLS head gasket an checked the ARP head studs and got to re assembling.

Got the bish all back together towed it to N8tunes shop for a tune. Nate was able to get 26psi an 360hp on 91 pump gas in 99 degree weather!! :tat:

I picked the car up from the shop drove it home ( about 20 miles ) as im pulling in the drive way the car starts pissing oil on the timing side. Crank seal im assuming. The cars been parked since waiting to get some time to check it out.

Whats going on Tuners I have a small update to add on the Black Widow. I had the car towed back to the shop to have a Tial 38mm wastegate installed and fix the oil leaks. The cars now pushing 24 psi an 350hp on 91 pump gas. It started leaking power steering fluid from the rack boots today so looks like ill just order a rebuilt rack an swap it in. Heres a few pics an videos enjoy an thanks for checking in.

The volume is kinda loud on photo bucket when you click the video links, at least it was on my computer.
