love the little details man keep up the good work, I worked on the sohc G63B/4G63BT motor loved how reliable it was, for instance if the t belt breaks no problem, just get another one, line up your marks, install it and start driving it again, sigh non interference is bliss.

After a really hard work, and 9times getting the engine out and in, i finally got the right spot, and balance
all work i was doing completely alone

Next job was wireing

it was all running okay, but all the wires are old and have some oxide on it, so i have decided to build a new wire installation
all is from fire proof wires

Do you have the sensors that go along with the RS gauges? I was planning on doing the same in my galant vr4 but from what I have learned you need the mitsu oem sensors for the gauges. One being the oil plug temp sensor from the RS/MR models, which are extremely hard to find working. If you have an alternative plan, please tell me.

What a fantastic build! Every little detail on that engine is superb! Keep up the tremendous effort!

yes i had all sensors, in fact you only need for the oil temp.
you can buy one from subaru, and welded it to the oil pan(or weld the nut as the subaru has different nut)

After fitting the engine, next problem was that engine moved forward, so there wasnt many space for the pipe from air filter to the turbo.

So i bought a SPAL slim ventilator, as stock one is really deep

here is the problem

after completing the engine bay(all hoses connected etc), iam really satisfied how it looks

Oh my this Galant looks amazing! Great work Tomica.

From one Galant owner to another, great work.

Where did you source your intercooler piping from?

Beautiful work. All the little details like new hardware, tidy wiring, and clean components REALLY look amazing. Once again, awesome work. Looking forward to future updates.

So there are a lot of news lately, but slowly we will start with the new "phase"

car was hit by an old granny ONLY 24hours from the last picture :(

index.php?action=dlattach;topic=55141.0;attach=16644;image.jpg

and after a lot of time and patience, all was putted in the previous spot, and bumper was repaired with special material (small tube cost 100e)

1281_zpsnnoot09c.jpg

That sucks! Love this car. One of the cleanest 4G63's I've ever seen. Good luck with the rebuild.

Not sure if you mentioned it, but what method did you use to polish the brake booster, BOV, and wastegate if you don't mind me asking? Looks really good. Also wondering if they oxidized or began to corrode afterwards. Just curious.

at galvanize shop, dont know how you called that, but we are calling it "cold galvanized"

and yes wen you polish steel stuffs , they corrode soon, so you need to maintenance them

After getting the car in the shape before accident, i have finally decided for a full respray
that means, fixing all the extra holes, and getting the "clean look" for the bolts for side skirts and rear bumper

also removing any rust surfaces from the doors and the body. A lot of hard work for removing everything and preparing it for painting

Here are the pics of the full respray, car was mostly flat AFTER 28 years, little here and there some dent etc.

colour is original ,Sarajevo Weis W18, but in clear coat it was added a bit of a crystal gold pearl, without sun or light you cant see it, it turned out very very good, and I was very satisfied with that.
