-6 or -10 afpr???

im going to buy a afpr right now and i dont know which aeromotive one to pick. the silver -6 one or the black -10 one, there both the same price so i havent a clue which to buy. i may get alchohal or methanol in future (if that means anything) thanks
 
If you are planning on running methanol then you will need the larger one.

-6 is nearly what every DSM have, unless your making a shitload of power and need the extra flow. You say you may get alcky or meth int the future. Do you mean just alky or meth injection that sprays into the IC pipe to control detonation, or something else? My guess is that you will just be using the meth or alky as a spray, that injects a mist into the IC pipe. If I am correcty, you only need the -6. I mean -10 is HUGE!
 
Unless he's going to be using methanol as a fuel, then it not adequate.

He's running a 16G and 550cc injectors. Nobody who's just getting a AFPR is going to be running meth any time soon.

actually now im running a 186 and 650cc... i guess i should update that page. I had a fpr but it broke so now i need another one. meth is a big possibility soon, would it hurt if i got the -10 fpr? on pump gas would it make things worse? thanks for your helo so far guys
 
just get a -6 fpr. they can handle more than enough horsepower. also, if your talking about running meth injection, it has nothing to do with a fpr.

alright great that sounds good. im not planning on having any more than about 500 or so hp at wheels, thats my goal after i get it built. thats enough for this? i only thought it ment something because in the big ones description it says "compatible with meth" on the small one it doesnt

I believe all of the Aeromotive and SX regulators are suitable for alcohol use.

The type of meth your reffering to has nothing to do w/ an AFPR. See, there is meth injection, and then theres straight running meth as a fuel. This is for pure race cars. Like oh, say NHRA drag cars that run 4's. They run straighr NitroMethane.

So, Like we have said before, get the -6 AFPR, its is more than enough sufficient for your application.
 
exactly what i was saying. a 6AN fpr is more than enough. I made over 500+ whp on my vw corrado with a 6an sx fpr.

i was talking runing meth as fuel... my friend and his dad race stock cars and has a huge tank of meth at his house for his cars and i would be allowed to use it.
