I wanted one of these but realized I didn’t need it. I run a 2g alternator relocated to the back of the block with a Jay Racing kit and single stretch belt on a 6 bolt in a 2g chassis. Nothing rubs or hits the frame rail and I can still tension the belt. Didn’t have to hack my timing cover or anything. Not sure why but my setup works just fine without this. Any explanation as to why this might be a better solution than what I have currently?
From what I understand, when you delete powersteering and relocate alternator to the back and use the belt on inner grooves, then this pulley aligns the water pump better so that belts don't go flying. Correct me if I am wrong.I wanted one of these but realized I didn’t need it.
