ok, heres my question. i got a friend that wants to put a 6-bolt in his 97 gsx to avoid "crankwalk". what mods do you have to do to get a 6bolt to fit in a 2nd gen?? is it easier to just buy a 6bolt block and put it in or just buy the whole motor?? will the 6bolt just drop right in?? what about the awd tranny?? what do you have to do to get a 6 bolt in a 2nd gen??? or should he stick with the 7bolt??

my friend is having the exact thing being done in about 2 weeks at road race. He had a 95 and it got cw, so he is getting a 1g 6 bolt in it.

Look on magnusmotorsports.com it has all the info you need.

He should get the whole long block with a 1g crank angle sensor and flywheel.

It pretty much bolts right in with a few wiring mods and some parts swaping from your old 2g block.

my cousin just put a 6 bolt into his 95 and he said he didnt have any trouble with his swap... not sure on exactly how difficult but he did it by himself and he had never done anything of that caliber before :thumb: 6 bolts rule:D
