I got this information elsewhere I have confirmed it from 2 sources who had the ability to check it.

A 4g67 head has the same large ports as a 4g63
dohc head. However their combustion chambers are 43cc vs. 47cc of a 4g63 head they are a complete bolt on. The head nets an extra .4:1 compression so if you have 7.8:1 pistons if you swapped the head to a 4g67 head you would end up with a static compression ratio of 8.2:1. Mate a 6 bolt block a 4g67 head and some 2G pistons almost end up with 9:1 compression.

can anyone confirm this

i also have the same question but my scenario is this...4g63 DOHC N/T. 7-bolt flywheel and planning to use 4g67 head into it....is it safe to use this or will i blow my engine?. whats the reading of PSI in the stock 4g63 head?. tnx

I hate when threads like this go dead wihtout someone answering the question. Well is it possible??

That's what I have on my car. You could just slap it on and go. But...

The main problem I saw was that the head was designed for a 82mm bore, so the sides of the combustion chamber overlap the piston on the sides. I highly recomend gasket matching the head to the headgasket. This will unshroud the valves and eliminate hotspots in the head. So far I've run 123.7 mph in the 1/4 mile on 96 octane gas.

Thanks for reviving this thread, I didn't have this head when the thread was started.

Oh wait, I just realised I have a 4G61 head on my car. It's off a early 90's Mirage. What is a 4G67 head from?
