It's been a hot minute but I finally am getting around to wrenching on the talon again. Ive been grinding hard at my new job so I've had zero time. My clutch felt real funky right at the end of summer. While I have the engine and trans out I'm going to sand the rest of the car and paint it. Just a little update on what's been going on.

Any input as to why you chose the low rise instead of the high rise? It wasn't really my taste either. I bought a high rise hatch and spoiler, installed it for about a day and took it back off. It's just a big ass piece of plastic, appropriate for the 90's I guess but I wasn't feeling it for this car. Now I've fully deleted the spoiler. It's a smooth car without one.

I dont mind the look of the high rise, but without sideskirts I think the car looks great either without the rear spoiler or the low rise. I also had on my non turbo in high school with a low rise so nostalgia plays a little role in it to. You are right though going with no spoiler looks extremely nice to as I've been running without one.

A little update on the paint scheme for the engine bay. I decided to re paint black because unfortunately I still cannot decide on a color. I want it either red or white and having the bay a neutral color will allow me to keep moving forward. I also found out that I had an unsprung clutch installed so a little chatter was normal, but im going to be putting a more appropriate clutch in for daily driving.

Well another solid test drive for the books. I had a couple oil leaks that I addressed from last summer that seem to be gone now. I also have to fork out for a new battery unfortunately the one I had decided to dump out this winter. So my next move will be to at least sand and primer the car so it's at least one color. She's in tough shape right now. I may just get it all ready to be painted and have someone do that professionally. Not much of an update but now we know engine in great shape, body not so much.
