I never documented this so I'll just put it in here now. When I got the car the door handles were shaved, so I figured out what needed to be cut and I now have one door handle back.

So tonight I got the harness and brake booster put in. Things are rolling along nicely. I feel like I keep posting very small updates, but I think that's what keeps me going. I'd like to try to work on this thing as much as possible. I'm sorry if it feels kind of repetitive.

So for fun I set my front end up on the doner car and you can see how tweaked this front end really was. On each side of my hood there were some big gaps. Also along the door and the fender there was a big gap towards the bottom. Someone tried to fix this car but didn't do a very good job. The fender on the driver's side is not oem either. Everything fits alot better now.

So yesterday I got the wheel wells all painted and lined. I also got the wiring and ecu all in the car. The gst gauges are in its official. Tonight I'll have the engine and transmission in just had to wait on some bolts.

Well everyone she's in and sits really nice even with just the 2 mounts on there. I'm trying to source a bracket for the rear that attaches to the subframe, so I'm gonna be waiting on that. But just the 2 attached to the car itself is holding it no problem. Very excited to have come this far.

I still have the front to cut out and replace it with mine. But everything else should be smooth sailing from here. Thanks all for following along. I've enjoyed doing this and documenting it.

Last night I got some of my carpet in and what a pita that was.i feel like Aftermarket anything never fits well for me. I also got the engine all wired up and I'm just waiting on my rear trans mount to show up. The only thing I really have left is to weld up my own radiator support, since the one off of my car was all tweaked also. I'm going to try and get it to fire up here soon.

A little update on the car. I had everything ready to go but all I was getting was the starter spinning freely. Well when I ordered my flywheel I didn't know it was for an all wheel drive. So now the tranny has to come back out and I have another flywheel being shipped to me. That was kind of a setback, but in the mean time the interior is fully in (original carpet back in) and I've been chipping away at the radiator support. Last night I got the power steering rack in finally and the coilovers. The manual swap is also complete, but I may shave an inch off the shift rod I don't know yet.

I got most of the lower radiator support done tonight. I'm going to try and make it look a little nicer and box it in fully. I also got alot of the wiring kind of routed to where it's supposed to be. I'm still kind of hit and miss on the sideskirts. If you guys think I should run them let me know.

You don't like the side skirts? I think they look fine. They look a bit weird without the door caps though.

No I like the sideskirts I'm just on the fence about putting holes in the car since it originally didn't come with them. I also do have the door caps, I'm just really nervous about drilling holes and getting them dead on is all. I love your car by the way it makes mine look like hot garbage LOL.

I really appreciate the kind words. It definitely has been some long nights and weekends working on this thing. I haven't really thought of anything because drilling holes in my doors is kind of intimidating.

I managed to get all the suspension hooked back up today. I've been sick this past week so not alot got done. I'm going to try and get the intercooler and radiator all hooked up this weekend. I'm hoping to have this thing on the ground tonight just to see how far off the old front clip was. I'm not going to adjust anything.

Today I got most of the intercooler piping routed and intercooler mounted. I also painted some unpainted areas with por 15 of course. I was planning on finally getting it on the ground, I just wanted to get as much done that called for it in the air. The radiator will be the next to get mounted. I apologize for the terrible pictures I'm working with maybe a foot of room in the front. I built a parts storage room in front of it that I kind of regret now, having little room to work on the car.

I finally was able to get the old gal off the jack stands and on the floor. Of course every tire was flat, so thats next on the list. I hate to say it but I may run the car without sideskirts and use my 96 front bumper. I love how bare and sleeper it looks to be honest.

Turbo side of things are finished and I just got my new brackets installed. I'm very happy with the quality and overall finish. I would like to get this thing fully buttoned up before I try starting it again. I'll definitely get some videos of it running here soon.
