I'm planning on ordering a crankshaft for my eclipse. It's a 1996 re 2.0 N/t. I believe the previouse owner swapped for a 1997 420a. One way you are supposed to tell the difference is by the number of belts running on the harmonic balancer? In my case I count two? Are there any other ways to tell the difference between the two years?

there should be a casting number on the crank, make sure the new crank has the same numbers as the oild one.

The cranks are the same 95-99 420a difference was in the blocks the main bearings were different some of the main thrust bearings have a bearing tab on the right side some on the left.
