I recently replaced my blown transmission in my '99 OZ GS with one from an '03 PT Cruiser GT. So far, great upgrade. However, there was a dent in the diff cover when I got it, so I took it off to make sure there was no contact with the diff. It was thankfully ok, with about 1/8" clearance. So I replaced the dented diff cover with the one off my old trans and used the Mopar RTV specifically for ATF. However, it has since started leaking. Is it possible to remove/replace the diff cover while the trans is in the car? Looking to try the rubber gasket this time.
