Since e85 is hygroscopic, will it cause white smoke after sitting 4 months?

Me too man . Did you ever decide wether you were going test drive your car our not? I did a few things to mine last night and took it out for a very nervous drive today. Ive had to push it home about 1/4 mile my past two shake downs. Hope you get the issue resolved.I wish that was my situation.
How many miles are on the fresh short block? Maybe you have seated the rings yet causing a little extra getting by the rings.
Maybe the filter still has some residual e85 in it still. Is that possible?
So you marked it as resolved, what did it end up being?
I was asking if old e will cause smoke. In my situation, it’s not the fuel causing smoke.
