Autozone lets you use their scan tool for free or do you have to pay like 150 bucks for it, I dont have cash either im broke I know, cuz my damn timing belt is in 3000 miles but I may have to do it now cuz my alternator is almost completely dead. Glad to see you got that GSX Martin, and the license. Im hoping the cel is coming from my exhaust leak or alternator, anyone know if just the alternator almost completely dead can pull a cel? How are you guys gonna be passing em out. I live in Vienna and depending on how you guy are doing I can take care of this section along with Tysons.

You can do the alternator without taking off the belts, at least on a 1g. Believe me, I did it on the side of the road...not once, but twice with minimal tools. I wouldn't do the timing belt again this soon unless you absolutely have to, because it is such a pain in the ass. Just an idea.

id trade you in a heart beat, but i couldnt do that to a friend. My car is such a POS you dont want it. Always breaking, this is wrong that is wrong, its such a hastle i could never trade you because it just wouldnt be fair to you

Yeah it may be a POS like my colt but yours sounds good for a 1.6L.

$1500 but you could probably talk him down easily

problems:

1) OD in the tranny acts up, when it upshifts it'll stay in OD for a while then act as if the gear went out.

2) a field mouse or something made a nest in the heater ducts so you'd have to remove them and clean them out

3) it currently has the dreaded idle surge

4) small exhaust leak

other than that, the interior and exterior are in A+ condition. the turbo spools well and the airbox has been hacked, but other than that it's stock and hasn't been torn up like most used 1Gs


only other problem is that it's over here in WV, about 2 hours from D.C.

well, looks like my dsm is going to be up and running by the time the meet comes around, as long as everything stays like it is now... Anyway, wanted to know if there are any others fairly close to me that i could tag along with. I know there are a few guys in front royal that are going right? my gf lives in stephens city, so not that far from front royal. id be willing to drive a little out of the way in order to follow some dsm guys down. i live here...(hope the link works)

Some of us will be coming from that direction. I think those of us coming from western va and west va could meet in winchester or front royal. I know at least 3 of us will be coming in on 66 from the west.

Looks like ill be in flat black primer as it melted the paint sort of bad... i told the officer i was goin so fast it spontainously combusted.

Let me know about meeting up in winchester as that might be the way im coming in im not sure yet.
