Mahle pistons, they use a different alloy. The pistons don't expand as much so you can run tighter piston to wall clearances which is better for a street car, but they're still a forged piston that's stronger than the OEM's and lighter weight than most all the other forgings that use the other more malleable alloy. Sooo they're lighter and expand less than other forged offerings and are stronger than OEM cast pistons.

Maperformance is a great company to deal with. Extremepsi, STM, they all are good. I will add though I got bearings from MA and they were mismatched right out of package from king. Sent them photos and they over night shipped me new bearings. So there customer service is some of the best I have seen. For a "mild" build mahle are great. Can run tighter piston to cylinder wall so they aren't as loud on cold start.
