2G Walbro 255 in a 1G?

I am about to purchase a 2G FWD wlabro 255 fuel pump and Im not sure if it will fit in my 1G FWD. I have checked the part numbers and they are different but have heard that the pumps are identical. Can anyone confirm this for me?

They are the same pump but have different install kits...Just order the one for your car...

Do you know if I have to get an install kit or can is there a 'hack' way to install it?

there are other places that are cheaper for fuel pumps...this one pops in my head cuz I get everything from them
