$200 shipped for upper & lower hard pipes and the supra smic straight from Puerto Rico :D

Took me awhile, tight fit, and I'm sure I still have some boost leaks. Still need to trim down my radiator fan or swap for a slimline because I am having clearance issues with the SBR J-pipe. Other than that, I have been blowing off couplers ever since. I'm sure once I seal everything and do a sweet boost leak test for 20 psi, it will pull like a champ :thumb:

Enjoy some pix, I will update with more as I trim the fan, install the SBR j-pipe, and as well as the engine bay. Stay tuned ROFL

Is that how it's supposed to look? I did a upgraded SMIC( Bullseye I think) on my old 97 GST and you couldn't even see it.. I would check with the instal again,., Not my cup of tea.

If you take a look at the install guides, there is a huge "power bulge". That is from moving the smic forward more into the bumper. I decided to not go with the bulge. So I moved the intercooler back.

Here is the install guide for reference:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...72-supra-smic-install-guide-long-version.html

Also, you used a "bolt-on" upgraded smic. This is a "supra" smic. Not exactly made for our cars.

On 2gbs they do not show up at all. I'm also wondering if you flipped the end tank? Mine sits at an angle and pulls right up into the well nicely so that it barely takes up more room than the stock intercooler.

Edit: I'm actually nearly sure you didn't flip the end tank, mine sits at the opposite angle from yours as seen through the hole in the front front bumper and the outlet for the IC actually very nearly sticks up into the engine bay instead of the pipe coming down to it.

Wow dude, im not liking that too much. Especially the pipe showing below the bumper. It looks like it could be dragged off by a speedbump. But power is power.

I did notice that everyone has theirs angled. I could do that as well, just need more couplers. Those damn things are expensive. The 2ga and 2gb bumpers are a bit difference. But I have minimal room already for my air filter. The pipes, air filter, maf sensor and fusebox have no room to breath.

But I thought the same for the lower pipe. So I pulled the intercooler up a bit since I have a parking garage for school that has a crazy incline. I cleared it fine on monday. These pics were taken on saturday. My alternator belt snapped again, so It's in the shop once again. I might stop by there today and take pics of everything. The bottom hose sits a bit higher now. I'll bring a tape to measure. Keep the comments and opinions coming. I want to make this better and want a list of materials everyone used. I visited Lowes 4 times for this install.

I used some 2.5" rubber hose that was rated for 60psi. I think it may be semi-truck radiator hose which ended up costing me $8 for two feet. I made my couplers out of that and had a little over a foot left over. I took some pictures but I have to download and install the BB desktop manager to my new laptop before I can upload them. I also used about 14 inches of universal exhaust strap to make two hangers that bolted into the stock SMIC holes. Total cost for my project was <$80 but I already had hard upper and lower intercooler pipes.

Pictures of my install. Please ignore the blurriness, I'm not sure what was going on with the light, also ignore my untrimmed hose clamps. You may request other angles or positions but I'm not going to take it all apart in the near future because it is cold outside.

=100 for the above thats how mine looked also fit right behind the splash sheild.. Mine also was angled.

What store did you go to for the rubber hoses? Also, what turbo do you guys have paired with the Supra SMIC? I have a 14b. Using stock 1g intercooler pipes and 2g lower intercooler pipes as well off the j-pipe.

Heh exactly what I was gonna say about the 2GB bumper

How much cooling power does the supra SMIC have. I was thinking bout installing one cause I want to keep my car looking stock as possible.

I've been meaning to run a log that I can post and I will at some point in the near future but my SSMIC cools my e316g at 23psi to the low 90s at the intake manifold on a warm day. I'm sure a large FMIC could do better but I'm not sure it would make a huge difference.

When I get the chance I will also attempt to measure pressure drop but that test wont be incredibly scientific.

Cool deal thanks.... FYI I going to be running a 20g at probably around 18-20 PSI or so, and before any one says anything I know I could have gotten my numbers from a 16g but got a deal on this 20g $460 shipped from a performance shop who only used it as a mock up and display model. Plus leaves room for improvement later on down the road. Thanks again for the info, you guys think a supra SMIC would be enough?

The supra smic will support around 400 HP efficiently and effectively I believe.

I finally got my car back from the shop because of some belt issues, turned out the water pump was going bad and gave the pulley some play to wobble. My car hasn't had the belt squeal since I got it back, granite it was only yesterday. But today I went Round 2 with my supra pipes.

Any input is appreciated. I tried very hard to tuck the intercooler, but it only went in so much :banghead:. One inch from the tire still. But it is supported by 2 brackets and the 2 hoses the intercooler is not moving unless God punches it :p. Clearance from bottom pipe to the ground is 6 inches.
