I will edit the post but its currently on axle stands while i work under the car. Im not able to drive it yet but pushing the car around and steering is fine and no issuesLooks pretty easy to turn too. I'll assume your car is on the ground with good tires?
What do you mean machining the rack like Bobby's? Like with the cover? I thought that would be done with all depowered racks. Guess we will see next yearOk I inquired about a update, and a question about machining the rack like Bobby's. The whole world is struggling. In the UK im struggling to buy parts and those who i do talk to have delays or just playing catch up. It took over a week to get some spray paint when normally its next day delivery.Even with this bug running rampant you would think this would be a fast turnaround but somthing to think about. With everyone on lock down and racing coming to a halt, that now is the time put the car in the shop for repairs,or upgrades or both. I thought it would be easier to get motor machine work done, but nope thier is a longer line than if it were a covid free world.
The normal way is plug welding them like he normally does. This process is more involved and time consuming so would likely be offered as an extra ontop of the regular jobWhat do you mean machining the rack like Bobby's? Like with the cover? A while away yet. I have to have 30 to do minimum order or they wont produce the batch. Once these are out and being used then i might get more people wanting them so it might be a yearly thing maybe. Who knowsWhen’s the next group buy?
Finally cut it down to size so that it can be safe.I am glad you were able to make that happen... it was all you!
Check out the attached. The column tube needs to be trimmed back to allow the space shown between lines (roughy). This is a safety feature in the event of a crash. The column will collapse, instead of becoming an impaling spear.... Check out a stock column, and leave at least as much gap as the stock one (trim back the length of the tube on the stock column housing. If you remember the splined portion of the steering shaft is setup this way (able to collapse some distance) as well.
Otherwise, kick ass man!

Not yet no. Last speaking to him and what i have told a few others he was wanting to finish up a project he had started before he received these units. So that took priority since he did not know when the rack were going to arrive. Is there any news about our order?
Is Brandon modifying the Housings for the Quaife Racks already?
