I was looking around in the gallery at people who have the dual guage bezel pods, and I was wondering if anyone has any close up pictures of theirs so i can see them a bit more clearly, and also, does the windshield wiper lever and turn signal lever interfere with the view of these guages or can they still be easily seen? thanks:dsm:

Thanks for the picture Defiant. Is that yours? Where did you buy that one? Becuase that's exactly what im looking, I don't want to get one of the carbon fiber or glossy ones, I want it to look stock as possible...thanks...

No, I found that with a search.
See the smooth finish like the stock one? That indicates it's the AutoMeter one, which retails around $80. It's injection molded.
There are clones on eBay for $20 that are vacuum-molded from the usual sort of striated gauge-pod plastic, and they look just fine when mounted. It's not the sort of thing you see, it's just there. The price difference will do better in your pocket.
It's not really an issue, but notice the screws on the bottom edge. The factory bezel mounts there with spring pawls, and the replacement uses nylon expansion nuts. If you tighten them as much as it feels like you should, they pop out of the dash. I don't know if anyone's had luck epoxying the pawls on.

Ebay fitment is ok, that's what I have. The gauge visibility is fine, its just that the plastic trim doesn't line up quite perfectly. Push it around a little when you screw it in and you should find a sweet spot.

I have the autometer cluster bezel in my 95 gs no visibility issues at all

I was referring to the actual clear peice of plastic that you look through when looking at the guages...Does that need to be cut in order for this bezel to fit in?

Depends on the depth of your guages. On mine I had to trim the two retaining posts on the inside corner.

Other than that red, perhaps.

is it neccesary to cut the stock plastic cover for the guages to fit these in?
It'll depend on the gauge. I didn't cut the clear plastic, but a VDO vacuum gauge needed both the vacuum nipple and the illumination bulb messed with (kind of a lot) as well as having the mouting studs cut off. There is limited depth to those mounts.

What did you guys use to hold the bottom part of the bezel down? I just bought one of these off of eBay and got a really good deal on it, but it has 2 small holes in the bottom, instead of clips like the stock one. It didn't come with any extra hardware, so I can't figure out how I'm gonna mount it. Can anyone show me pictures, or explain how they secured the bottom part? Thanks.

I didn't do anything with the bottom of mine. it doesn't move and has been that way for over a year.

You could also make a custom gauge mount pod.

I made a single gauge with turbo timer, and I'm currently working on a double gauge.

that looks really clean. How did you get it at that angle?

I used to have that dual gauge bezel. I got it from E-Bay and it didn't fit right, and I couldn't see half of each gauge how I normally sit. I like the A-Pillar bezel much better. It did look good though, minus the fact it was just sitting there, not bolted in.

A boost gauge should fit in the pod without any major issues. I put an oil pressure gauge in mine and I had to trim out the clear plastic gauge cluster cover and the black bezel underneath it. Not that big of an issue.

I just recieved one of these the other day and when i went to install it I found that mine was too small as well. Specifically, it was too short in depth. When i put it over my OEM bezel i noticed that 1.) It fit like a glove over the OEM bezel, and 2.) It's about a 1/2" short in depth.

I'm thinking of junking it and moving these gauges to the center A/C vents, before i commit to that though, I was wondering if there's a brand out there that fits like it should. I'm talking strictly fitment as a replacement bezel, NOT GAUGE FITMENT.

The one that i got was from Glowshift. BlackGSX2g, who makes yours?

i had one instald for about 2 min. now its sitin in my house i didnt like the way it fit didnt like it so if anyone wants it let me know

I bought one from glowshift and it fit nicely in my car. Fits and looks just like the stock oem one, only is a little glossier unfortunately. Looks really nice I think.
