EDIT: the gauge is one of those smoke ones, so the car has to have the key in the ignition to have it light up.
Sounds like you over-tightened the top screws, and at the bottom where the factory part uses spring clips you need a couple of round-head screws and nylon inserts.vaboys2ndgen said:yeah i put it in all the way, and put the top two screws in so it was in fine. and then the bottom part of it wasnt even touching the dash... if that makes sense.
