i saw some posts for 1g's, but can the 2g ignition coils be removed w/o messing with the fuel rail? i couldn't find a way. thanks!
 
Yes they can, but you have to be sneaky to get them out. It took me about half an hour to figure it out. I think when I removed them I loosened the coils from the plate first.
 
U were able to unscrew the rear screw of each coil pack from the plate? I unscrewed the plate and moved it around but didn't think I could access those rear screws.

I had to use an offset screwdriver to get the back screw off.
 
Be careful not to strip them, they are small and easy to strip.
Moving the rail is a lot easier than you may think.
