i got a 1998 eclipse gst with a 95 gst ecu thats eprom with ecm linkYou have a different car with a different ECU using a different interface.
Did you try looking at https://www.ecmtuning.com/wiki/connectionproblem and working through the list.
If so lets start a different thread to diagnose your problem.

oof im sorry for that i didnt realize it was for 1g.That's pretty much the standard for a 2G with DSMLink. The other thread that you necro'ed was for a 1G.
Does your car run?
Have you ever been able to connect to DSMLink?
Did you buy it new or used?
Have you checked that your ODB2 connector has power?
Does the green light on the cable turn on?
Does the cable show up in your windows device manager?
Does your check engine light turn on for 5 seconds and then turn off?
Please answer each question.
yeah im going to check in 20mins getting ready to head back to my shop its a little bit away.I believe that the green light on the cable should turn on if the cable is getting power. The fact that it's not suggests that is the problem and since you didn't answer my question regarding having 12v at the ODB2 connector you haven't checked that yet.
