As many of you know, I’ve been producing front lower control arms for the 2G DSM cars for many years. Hundreds of sets built. I’ve been able to work around most price increases on materials over the years and have kept the price of these mostly flat. We took a huge price increase on balljoints 6 months ago and I painfully absorbed it. Well, I just took another even larger price increase on them today. Huge. And the balljoints are the single most expensive component in this build.
I’m making this post to gauge if you guys want to see Volk Metal Craft to continue to produce these. With the balljoints now costing 2.5 times what they did a year ago, we have no choice but to greatly raise the price on these. Just the balljoint studs alone have gone from $27 to $90 each… And that’s just 1 of 20 components used to build one of these arms…
So what say you? Will DSMers still be interested in these if the price on a set goes from $555 to $670? Will there be a demand for me to keep building them? I'd love to hear your opinion.
