I finally installed my parts. Took me about 2 months to gather the cash and the time to put the parts on my car. I installed 255 fuel pump, hot wired it to the battery, 620cc injectors, aeromotive fpr, 20g(might be a frank 3), 40mm tial wastegate, pacesetter crome headers, and O2 housing with dump.

At first it wouldn't start up but found out that I needed to battery clamps, then it started up after a few turns of the ignition. Smoke a little from my dirty hand touch the manifold but sounded good at idle.

Problems: Oil feed is leeking a little and my headlights won't turn off when I turn them on and my doors and interior lights have no power. Will have to check the fuses. Hopefully that the problem.

I'm a newbie and pretty proud of my self to install all this crap with close to no experience.
Thanks to dsmtuners. Got some real busted up hands to go with them too. Great Stuff!

So now the go fast parts I have on my car:

Injen intake
Ceramic Pace Setters Manifold(will let you know if they crack)
20g or frank 3 (can't tell which is which)
620cc injectors
Apexi fuel controller
Aeromotive FPR
Walboro 255 pump with hard wire
3" O2 housing with dump
3" downpipe
3" N1 exhaust
Greddy Intercooler with pipes
Turboxs blow off valve-vented

I'll post how it drive once I fix my little issues. (I hope there little)

damn dude, congrats

I really respect a "true" car enthusiast that will try anything once and not just pay someone to install it for them. I like yourself have never tried anything like that....just your couple of guages and thats it. Hopefully i'll have my 20g or 16g soon. (Can't decide yet)

Im just like you, I wont let anybody else touch my car. My excuse is it costs more to have somebody else work on it, but the real issue is I have that pride factor thing going on. It seems like you do too!! :thumb: Im looking at getting a 20g/TDO6 turbo as well, hopefully with an 8cm^ housing for less low/mid power.

Thanks guys! But man is it a pain.

Fix one problem, I had a 100-fuse blown. Replaced it and now everything works find.
Next on the list is find out why the hell my car drives like crap. Doesn't build up
boost and seems like the timing in off or something. I keep you all posted.

Yeah, I got an AFCII and a Palm data logger which at the moment can't find the blasted
CD to load the program into.

How does the logger tell me what to change on the AFC?

If it aint one thang its another.

WTF

Do not change any settings until you've learned the basics of tuning. A good starter guide can be found here :

And how the AFC works here :

There ya go.

Ok, Ran into a few issues such as a blown fuse, exhuast leak, hose blowing off, BOV popping off and wastegate not opening or closing.

Well I think I got everything fix and will be going to the track(PIR) tonite to see what
kind of number I get. Last time I went I ran 15.2 on the stock turbo on 8lbs.

Tonite I'll try to run 20lbs and see what time I get.

Let you guys now! And will try to record it.

Well it was a big dissapointment, paid 30 bucks for me and my girl to get in. waited
in line for about 30min. When I finaly got up there I was about to race against this
2G Supra. As soon as the light turned I got on it and the hose from from turbo popoff
and I drove about 10mph down the rest of the 1/4. People pointed and luaghed at me.

Then I spend about an hour an a half trying to fix it.

I fixed it and went home. What a nite. I'll have to try again at a nother time.

What does someone us for a 90 degree elbow coming off the turbo?

Thanks!

What? Looks like you need t-bolt clamps.

Man of Saturn: welcome to the world of performance, The skin will always grow back on your knuckles, but your mind will never be satisfied!! Good luck.

Do not give up on this turbo. I will hunt you down and strangle you !! j/k LOL! I'm on the verge of running 10's on a td06h 20g. Proper tuning and seat time WILL get you where you want to be. Best of luck !!

You need a rubber 90* elbow(NOT FROM LOWES) and t-bolt clamps. Or, You can get a 90* elbow welded on, Obviously not rubber. Do you know what you're doing with the safc, In terms of tuning the car?

I got the T-bolt clamps with a 90 degree elbow from "Extreme Intercooler" so that should set me up. The elbow has a beaded rim on it, good stuff.

As for the safc, I'm still trying to figure it out. I got the short trim close to zero but other then that I'm not sure what to do next.

Wow! that some good stuff. I'm trying to get into the 13s. My last time I ran at the track
with the stock turbo and 8 lbs (not boost controller) I ran a sorry 15.2.

I got alot of tuning and trial an error ahead of me.

Thanks!

Should I not run more then 20lbs on my 20g? What the max with race gas? And about how much HP at 20lbs? Just an est.

No you can run more then 20 psi with it as long as you have the proper supporting mods and you have some sort of logger and know what your doing with it :D . With race gas you could run abit more boost but again you need the proper supporting mods to do so. As for hp @ 20 psi, bench racing is just a guess. Every setup is different and it depends how well you can tune. I would think you should be in the 400 crank hp range but this could very quite abit, going to the dyno is the only real way to tell :thumb:
