Ok my mechanic set my 14b to 21 PSI, the car spools up great and doesn't give me fuel cut(have not yet passed(6,000 RPM), will i ecnouter any troubles without a FPR?? i have a larger pump but no FPR.

Thanks

HOLY SH1T, turn that boy down man, you do need a FPR if its a 255lph, if its a 190lph you may get by fine, but the duty cycle on your injectors will not be able to feed your engine, to small, if you get some 550's with a AFC you may be able. But I would go that high, stay down at 16psi, better safe than sorry man.

Get a 190lph fuel pump, 550s and a AFC and go have some fun with 20 pis. If you dont want to get those things, TURN THE BOOST DOWN!!!! You are going to run ridiculously lean.

Turn it down to 15 psi or so. Anything much higher is usually just hot air. Some people will argue this, but I usually hear that its just a waste of turbo. I don't think you will hit fuel cut with a aftermarket FP but its better safe then sorry.

how do i turn down the boost??
I have the booost controller but don't know wich way to turn??
How can i measure it?
Do i accelerate the car till it spools and then move the controller and try again?

On mine you turn counter clock wise to turn down. When I set mine I made small increments and tested until I got the boost I wanted.

ok an update, i my car has a holley(is that spelled right?) pump, yesterday i took it for a ride and turned the boost down to 16-18 PSI, car is running fine, no fuel cut, no overheating, i checked today and everything was ok, except my MBC hose had a hole burned on it, i replaced it today, other than that i spent $10 bucks in gas in only 3 races :(

What do i need to go 20-22 PSI?

FPR,550's and S-AFC??

C-16....While the 14b is WAY past its effeciency range at 20-22 psi,it CAN with the right setup make more power when having the extra octane from the race gas to suppress the knock. However, After 16-17psi or so,its pushing hot air and cat-piss pump gas is going to result in knock and pulled timing. In other words, the car will be SLOWER.

Id suggest leaving the boost at 16 psi or so,and continue to read and research. A good start would be http://dsm.org -go under "information boilover" and check out the 1000 most asked questions,VFAQs ect.

Personally I don't think the 14b reaches 20-22PSI just by itself, you need a hell of a setup more than just a fuel pump and a FPR, Like they said, more likely it's just very hot air your pushing into the pistons, but not dense enough to make a efficient combustion, also that much pounds of air pressure will melt you pistons and ending up with a big trouble..., 16 psi will be the best you can go with a 14b, but if you want more combustion eficiency and greater power, get better flow injectors, a FPR, a good exhaust system, and intake, SAFC, and tune it (wich is the hard part) and you'll be very happy with the results...!

remember now that the 14b is the stock turbo, and it might have quite a few miles on it by now, so don't forget to let it cool down after a few runs, in order to make it work good for more longer time, if possible get a turbo timer, and check often your oil, cooling system, fluids, thermostat and very important oil pressure...!

-just my .02 cents.
