ok guys,
i have 2 problems here. first off, i have a 94 talon tsi with a cyclone swap, stock 14b, set up at stock boost level.
the last few days i have had a problem with accelerating under full boost, the car will accelerate as it should untyil it reaches 9-10 psi, then it stays there, i know thats how its supposed to happen, what confuses me is that the rpms seem to stop too, they will sit constant, usually happens between 4k and 5k. the car wil then sewem like its going nowhere. if i let off the throttle it will and the boost drop to say 6 psi the motor will accelerate again. could this be some sort of engine retard because of something not being correct, i.e. not enough fuel getting there for some reason?
second, tonight on the drive home from work, at a stop light, my abs light flickered at me, everything fluttered, panel included, then my wipers went across the windshield at full blast for about 4-5 strokes, then i lost my low beams. high beams still work, but turn signals dont work from the stalk, but they worked when i put trhe battery back on. when i poped the hood, the batery was overflowing and spraying battery acid on the absd lines behind it. took the battery to advance and had it checked its ok, so im guessing the reason the battery was cooking is because the regulator in the alternator went bad.
any advice or answers is greatly appreciated, i just got this back a month ago after waiting 5 months for a motor swap. this is my only car, so its hard to find a ride to school and work all the time if its down. thanks guys HELP!
