I'm going with the whole black and white "panda" scheme on my 92 gsx. I was just wondering what I could do with that white strip across the center of my tail lights. Would I just use one of those shade paints on the lense and all or is that piece removable? The car isn't at my house yet so I can't see if it pops out or anything. Just wondering what the cleanest way to change that would be. Couldn't find any for sure answers in a search.
Thanks!

The whole tail light assembly is removable, in 3 pieces. Left, Center, and Right.

And is held in mostly, if I remember correctly by Phillips screws.

But I'm fairly certain that the plastic strip that separates the lower and upper portion of the lights is molded in / on and isn't removable.

If it's painting of some kind you wish, you'll probably have to do some masking with tape and paper.

I'm not sure of you mean by:

"Would I just use one of those shade paints on the lense"

Were you thinking of making the whole tail light rear-end shebang white?

Yikes! No. I read about the spray paint you buy to "shade" or "black out" or "fog" your tails. There are a few threads that talk about these "shade" paints and using it to letters on their center tails that say turbo or eclipse etc.
Since I brought that up, could I use that stuff on the molding strip as well if I were to black out my tails?
Just painting makes sense but I just figured I'd post up and see if anyone else had done anything with it and could throw out some advice. Thanlks for the response.
