I got leaking on ABS module on my Eclipse GSX. Is it possible to fix it? Is this module (MB618990) compatible with FWD modules (MB668360) ?

Most people wind up deleting ABS when it starts having issues. The service manual cautions against disassembling the hydraulic unit, and I haven't seen any posts describing how to go about doing a rebuild.

While a FWD hydraulic unit may bolt up just fine (they look the same), there are differences in the brakes between a FWD and AWD, they use different proportioning valves, and different master cylinders. I'd imagine there are internal differences between the two hydraulic units to account for this.

Finaly got another abs Unit from my new american hero. He send it to me. Same part nuber. Working and no leaking. So we disassemble my old abs unit. It appears that rubber o rings are no more soft so they are leaking. I will try to find these new "o rings" and replace them.

These pictures are GOLD. I’ve never seen the inside of one of these units myself. I imagine Mitsu discouraged disassembly due to the high pressure, close tolerances, and all those o-rings. Definitely keep us posted on your progress. Hopefully the replacement o-rings won’t be too difficult to find or potentially fabricate.
