I'm looking for the part number and/or where to buy these black clips that go on the inside of a 1G door. I'd be very grateful if someone could point me in the right direction. TIA!

you could maybe have someone 3D print some replacements, I know a few members have a printer on here if you send me some measurements I may be able to model and print some

Best source for stuff like that is Auveco. You might have to spend some time searching their catalog, but keep in mind that car makers don’t like to make new, novel parts if they can find something off the shelf (30 years ago, of course) that will work. This keeps their costs down from developing and sourcing things that don’t exist. Keep in mind that while you want these for a Mitsubishi, they might have been listed for Honda or Nissan, or even Ford.
Plent of “parts” don’t have their own part numbers in the Mits/ Chrysler parts catalog, as they are part of a larger unit/ assembly. Could be the case with these clips, though it’s hard to predict.

Might be part number MU481087. Factory catalog shows some kind of clip with that part number, and shows 10 per vehicle , so 5 per door? Possibly 4 on one door and 6 on the other, due to other differences? Are they plastic or metal? What appears to be the function?

Ok, that’s what it looked like. Amayama shows them as available for $2.78 ea. Shipping might be $80, though, because it will only go fedex intl. and that’s about what they quoted me for a handful of little trim items six months ago. (I told them to hold my order until pandemic is over)
Not everything that they say is available really is. I might try JNZ with an email, if it were me. Perhaps other favored dsm specialists too.

That’s the correct part number — great find, thank you. Unfortunately it’s not easy to find. They’re on Amayama for ~$2 but with a $30 shipping charge LOL.

Certainly a better option IF they can actually supply the parts. So much stuff is listed as available for sale, until you place an order to find out a day or two later that your order was canceled because the parts are NLA/ obsolete/ try a junkyard. I’ve run into this with Japanese and American retailers, though my experience (sample size of 1) has been that Amayama could get about 50% of what I wanted, and various Mitsubishi-associated places (dealerships, mostly) could only provide about 10%. So I kind of stopped looking there. Then I learned that JNZ will do the searching for me, though they still run into supply chain issues too, at times. They are a little better about suggesting suitable alternatives. RTM has also impressed for for certain Hard to find parts. I’m so jealous every time I hear about somebody who just walks into their local parts store and actually walks out with exactly what they needed.

I did these for another member and had enough for a couple extra sets made. These are made from ASA based on the discussion had in this thread: 3D Printed Car Parts.

I have not tried them out but I am not seeing a reason they shouldn't work. Haven’t received feedback from the member, either - no news is good news? I may use a set for myself this weekend just to find out.

Brian, check your attachments. I can't view them so I wonder if any one else can. Just FYI.

Yep, they look fine now. I was searching for a picture on my profile of a passenger side CV shaft and when I found my post, my pictures had been replaced by some 4g64 shit, IDK why but it was odd.
I like those clips too!

They do the job!

I need some of these clips too! Can these be purchased from somewhere/someone? If not, can you share the CAD file?
