Edmonton,
Just wondering, when you remove the BCS restrictor, could this lead to boost creap? Without the restricter, can't the turbo keep building boost? Or will you just gain about 2-3psi and no more? Has anyone ever got boost creap from removing the BCS restrictor? Any help would be appriciated.

Boost creep is when your wastegate can't get rid of boost fast enough to keep it under control.

To get creep you have to reduce the restrictions that the air goes out; therefore it's easier for the air to go through the turbo (and making more boost) than it is for it to go out the wastegate.

By removing the restrictor your changing the restrictions for the signal of when to open the wastegate, not the restrictions of the exhaust path itself.

hey, i have a 90 gst, i removed my bcs today, it was the really little plastic piece in there. i was reading 10psi now its only bumped up to 11psi? i thought that i was suppose to get anywhere from 2-4extra psi? instead i only got 1!!?

First off, is that 1 psi according to the stock boost gauge or to a real boost gauge? As a site note my stock gauge will say 8psi when I'm really around 15 on my Big 16G - just as a for instance on how off it is once you make any modifications at all.

Secondly I've always heard it does from 1 to 3 - pretty much normal results even if it is just 1 psi. Just get a MBC and you'll notice a huge gain.

i have an aftermarket boost gauge, (autometer) when i put the two hoses back on the bcs i wasent sure which went to which i forgotOMG
if they are on the wrong way will that effect it? i havent purchased a mbc yet but when i do what could i boost to? i have only a few mods, free mods, 2.5in. down pipe, hollowed out cat and removed balance shafts. thanks for posting back. and for the thread owner, im sorry if i kinda made this my thread to i didnt mean to i was just curious:thumb:

This info is in a lot of other places. Check your book or manual to trace the hoses back - if you don't have a book you do need one if your doing any amount of mods or repair.

13-15 psi is the usual - depends on the car = +10-30 hp.
A few pump re-wire will net you another psi or two which means another ~10 hp.
