getting ready to remove the abs unit in my 1g awd! does anyone know what i have to do? any thing i need to buy or get? anyone done this project allready. someone please help thanks brandon:thumb:

Yeah I just did this myself, very easy. Get new green lines rather than finding old nonABS one's though as they bend very easy and don't crimp like the old ones. You'll need 4 in all: one from right front, one from left front, and two from master cylinder. Good luck :thumb:

i deff want this dont bc i hate the abs. it rele doesnt work anyway. will i see a difference in breaking with the abs gone? any one have a non abs valve. lt me know:rocks:

I also removed my ABS unit along with all wires and sensor. Its a very easy task to do. All you need is 4 brake lines totall. 2 from the front brakes and 2 that goes to master cylinder to the non abs poportion valve. Sorry can spell LOL. If you need any help let me know.

Yes buy new lines from autozone, i did this last fall, john just did this today, ask us if you need any help since were local to you.Its very easy to do, and cleans up the engine bay nicely, no i dont think you will see much difference in braking it just locks up easier if your not careful.

ok thanks keith! i will go to advance or autozone tomarrow and get brake lines for my 1g and i will also go to brims and get a non abs valve. what size and how long should i get for my car! le me know thanks:thumb:

I had success with going to the local u pull it yard and pulling out the proportioning valve and needed brake lines all complete. It was pretty easy to remove from the donor car that didn't have a motor and trans. Intstallation of the lines is a bit tricky with everything in the engine bay but it can be done. I got the parts for mny friend as a gifdt and he did the install. He did it in about 2 hours.

Hey man, did you do the ABS delete with the engine in the car? Also, did you make your own lines? How did it go?
