I'll still show up every now and then. Still owe Miguel some mechanic work and Ted a banana shake haha. I'll eventually end up in another one. Only a matter of time...

Ted would obviously only be able to get a ham sandwich and a bounced welfare check for his car since it won't pass smog.

Some complete idiot paid near 9k for your car plus the cost to ship it....Congrats for you, really, good for you. I guess there is always some f**ktard somewhere ready to lose their money, you just gotta find them somehow

Now now don't be jealous. In some countries it's near impossible to find parts so it's easier to just buy something well built that will last.

Funny story actually, this guy was willing to give me $15,000 American but in Indian Rupees. So he sent it wrapped in a sheep bladder. Then he had his uncles step cousin come pick up the car with a tow truck and a shipping container. Very nice people.

That shit made my day! ROFLROFL

#### that, I want the sheep bladder. Would make the coolest coin holder in my car!

Not if you know the right people. :nono:

Unfortunately its true. It does take a while to find a sucker, otherwise that car would have sold the same day. Thats my view on it too. But Jacob sold it, and got every penny worth his while. It was just a matter of time before some kid that doesn't know any better to get....reamed. Jacob is gonna hate it when the tech support calls come rolling in!

I'm not hating just so the OP knows, I am glad he got what he wanted! Thats awesome for him. Props for holding out and getting the money you wanted, however the person that bought it paid way way to much.

Hahaha. The car didn't actually get shipped. And it surprisingly wasn't some punk kid that bought it. Here's the full story for any and all who are interested:

I got contacted way back on September 15 by some guy through my craigslist link. He said that the car was exactly what he was looking for and wanted to be my buyer, but there was a catch. He was recently injured on the job and had to wait for the settlement check to come in from the lawyers before he could make a move for the car. I told him that as long as he showed up with cash before anybody else, then the car was his. I wasn't going to make any promises. He must've felt a bit of pressure to get the car at that point. So he said I'll give you $9000 (when my cash price was already dropped to $8800) if you can just hold on to it a while longer. I told him I would give it a shot (knowing that I hadn't gotten many very good offers recently).

So weeks go by and I keep getting offered dirtbikes and hair dryers for the car. But here's this same guy with lots of questions and updates about his lawyers and doctors bills and yadda yadda. I honestly never thought it would actually work out. Then when he tells me the money is available to him, he drops not one, but two major bombshells. 1) I live in New York. 2) I want to wire you the money for the car.

My first reaction was just to tell him to get lost and quit wasting my time. But everything he had discussed with me had seemed genuine so I decided to at least leave the door open on the idea. He said he would fly out and drive her home. I warned him of this and that and told him he would have to be careful and everything, but he still wanted to fly his ass across the country, meet some dude that he knows absolutely nothing about, wire $9000 through the bank before he sees or test drives the car, and then drive said car all the way home without knowing a single thing about it. I thought the dude was off his rocker! But he seemed intent on getting it done and he was willing to send the money before he even showed up. The wire came through legit. I pulled the cash out and counted it in my hand. He jumped on a plane and showed up at my place 2 days later....

When I picked him up he was completely different than I pictured. He was a middle aged white guy. Soft spoken. Kinda buff from the construction work. His voice on the phone had that new york accent and it was a trip putting the face to the voice. But anyways, he showed up and we walked through the car part by part. Explaining everything to him. He has a n/t eclipse at home and this is his first turbo car. So I do what I can and teach what I can teach. We drive around for a while. Learning the car. Getting comfortable with it. He signs the bill of sale and paperwork for it. We shook hands. And then it was over. He drove off into the sunset. I had money in my pocket. He was a happy guy. That's it.

Come to find out that yesterday he hit the salt flats on his way home. Made a run out there at did 150 mph before he backed off! The car had more pull in her, but he stopped her there. The GSX is holding up for him and getting him home. I don't understand why she never cooperated for me... but whatever. Maybe I finally had all the gremlins fixed and just never knew it hahaha.

Either way, at the end of the day both of us got what we wanted. It was a happy ending to a very tumultuous car sale. I hope I never have to sell a modified DSM again! hahaha.

I'm not trying to bust your balls when I say, now that is a genuinely cool story.

I agreed. I was gonna say cool story bro. When in fact, it its very cool story! Bravo on the sale, i have hope to sell my dsm for higher price. Haha...

Yeah I'm not sure it could've ended better.

Thanks guys. The guy actually made it back to the east coast yesterday! I told him to check out the forums so that he can keep up with the car. Hopefully he takes my advice so the car stays in the community.

And there's a new beast in the driveway!

:hellyeah: Whens the next sac raceway day?

Nice ride!
So how much power does it make?

I agree, RWD + boost = fun! I'm still enjoying my 944 turbo. :)

Yes its the Vortech Supercharger and yes it hauls! Also its 100% carb legal so I'm not watching my rear view mirror every time I open her up haha. The stock 350 was plenty of fun as it was, but then this baby popped up on craigslist literally the day after the gsx sold. I think it was a sign hahaha.

She's making 383 whp and 311 ftlb. Strange that it's almost identical to the gsx's numbers, but that's just what it is. It's only at the rear wheels and on a dyno jet though, so she does feel slower than the gsx. But not for long! Smaller sc pulley, fuel injectors+pump, slicks. It's gonna be a beast.

How is the 944 by the way Dave? Last I saw her you were still pullling her apart for the first time at the new FFTEC shop.

Yes the 944 is doing good. I didn't go crazy with it, just kept doing solid mods. Nice wheels/tires, decent suspension, and of course some good power mods. Right now it's still on the stock turbo, but it's running speed/density on E85 plus an EBC. I configured the boost curve to give a big torque spike at low rpm, then the power falls off since the ancient stock turbo can't keep up. 325 ft.lbs and 255RWHP. It makes great noises, it has an open dump wastegate with a Supertrapp muffler on the dumptube.
It also has a ricey BOV that whistles and wooshes all the time! ha! quite unlike a Porsche.

nice 350 bro! i wanna make it up to sac soon cause i got a new setup. evo 3 Intake manifold and evo maf:D i cant wait to see the new numbers. il probably be seeing you dave this thursday when i go in for the tune

Pics or it didn't happen Dave! haha. I think we all live for those angry car noises. Even if it is a ricey bov, and an obnoxiously loud exhaust, it still makes me grin ear to ear like a little kid every time I drive! hahaha.

Sounds sick Evan. You'll be hitting 11s in no time!
