Sold 1997 Talon tsi awd 39k miles

I am looking to sell my clean title 1997 eagle talon tsi for $6500. I impulse purchased the car from the original owner about 5 years ago and have put very few miles on it myself. The car is an auto awd, it is stock and sits at roughly 39,6xx miles. It has leather seats and the overall interior is in great shape. Everything is original from the tape deck to the spare tire and a/c (which still works), I even have two factory keys with the oem door lock remote. My initial intentions were to make power with the car so I had the head cleaned and decked, all the upper end gaskets replaced with felpro gaskets, the Timing belts A and B were replaced with Gates belts and the head bolts replaced with ARP studs. Additionally the Transmission fluid was replaced with a synthetic (drain and fill), coolant was replaced and brake fluid was flushed with a synthetic. I never ended up going further with this car and instead it has been rarely driven. That said the car fires right up, runs and drives great. I will only sell if you are coming to pick it up, I’ve had many people looking to ship the car and pay with methods that make me uneasy, there is no reason for me to take any risk selling this car so it is only leaving my home if you the buyer are putting is cash in my hand.

There are a few cons which is why I am not asking top dollar for this gem. It has a few areas of paint fade on the wing, passenger quarter panel and passenger door. There are a few small dings on the car. The car sits on an aging set of tires that need to be replaced due to dry rotting sidewalls. All in all I may end up putting some money into the car to get it mint and adjusting the price accordingly, interest in the car as it sits is will dictate whether that happens or not.

I have spent the last few days driving it and have to say the car is an awesome example of what a talon was meant to be. I have title in hand which shows 39k miles at time of title change and registration. I also did a Carfax odometer fraud check to verify mileage which came back clean.

Overall it’s a sweet car, there are few Talons left stock and even less with extremely low mileage. Its a set of tires away from a daily driver and I was sure to address that when setting the price. Message me if you are interested, Thanks for looking! I am located in Salem, Oregon by the way.
