Damn it, apparently the code changed for flickr pictures -_- and I'm officially irritated so you guys will have to click on the pictures unfortunately. New pictures will be uploaded using photobucket I suppose

That's where I'm at right now. Front and rear on this side are nearly done, just have touching up to do and some forming on the front bumper piece so it matches up to the fender flare. Still waiting on my wheels to get here....also got evo x front calipers and bought new stoptech rotors so the front and rear will match. Getting them sent out to be coated candy teal to match the engine bay next month. Also getting ready to pull the motor so I can get it rebuilt. I have leave scheduled for the Shootout so I want to have the car finished by summer so I can drive it a while and iron out any kinks.

Here are a few random pictures that I forgot to post

Man I love this car!! Can't wait to see the fiberglassing all done. Great job so far!!
Thanks!

Amazing build journal !!! Keep up the good work
Thank you as well!

Why hello there, I miss Texas

Really hope you don't actually end up parting it out that would ruin every body's day LOL.
Wide bodies going to be awesome Caleb, with a perfectionist at the helm there is no doubt.
Haha as of now I am keeping it, I am far enough along on the widebody that I will finish it. I just really want to build a rwd v8 turbo car and I can't have multiple projects because of moving so much for the military, so I will have to choose sometime what I want to do

I am extremely excited to see the wide body setup!
Me too! If my wheels ever get here I will spray some black paint on them (they are pretty smooth now) and see how it looks on this one side

Car looks really clean and going to look amazing after the body work.

Just saw the IG post and I'm sad you're giving up on this project bro! This is by far the best build thread I've ever read in my life. In fact after having soo many problems with the DSM, I had decided to quit the game and move on to something else until I saw your build thread. It inspired me to hang in there and keep working on it so its sad to see this project end prematurely but I guess all good things gotta come to an end sometime

Gotta move on sometime. I can't keep too many cars because I just dont have the room. I now have my evo as a daily and want to get a truck for hauling the cars with. Would be too impractical to have the dsm, evo, truck, and another car. Evo stays the daily because it is much more practical than the dsm. I want to build a v8 car and I cant do that while owning the dsm unfortunately, so, it has to go

So...I guess I never updated this...eclipse was parted out about 6 months ago now. It went as a very bare shell to a guy located near me up here, so hopefully it sees another life. If not, oh well, for some reason I didn't have too much of an attachment to that specific car, even after the countless hours I put into it. I do want to get another dsm one day, but that day will be far from now when I can have more than a couple cars (military, I move a lot). Anyhow, this is what I am working on now. Bought it in worse condition than my dsm was and got it to this state mid summer so I could drive it. It is now torn down again for a winter build and ls1 swap. Will get a shaved engine bay, widebody, all new suspension components etc. Much more thorough than the dsm

Awesome build need to read through it further, discovered your car through Instagram and it's helped push me to want to pickup a Dsm

Oh wow, now I see the sad ending of this build! Good luck with your new project!

OMG... I unfortunately found your build today and read it all in a row...

I wish I was here to buy your DSM when you let it go, sooo perfect.

I ll try to do the best I can with mine, thanks again for the ideas you gave me and the awesome reading !

Just read through all pages and was sad to see you let the dsm go. Not a bad choice to do an ls swapped fd tho
