1995 Eagle Talon Tsi

Hi guys, just picked up a 1995 eagle talon tai in a trade for a sr20 engine and trans. car is in pieces, which i fine for me since its going to be my fiancés because she loves these cars. so I want to go throughout the whole car and make sure its 100% and safe for her. heres some pics ps... ill have a lot of questions so pardon my noobness since I'm a toyota guy and these are very different/cheap then what I'm used too. also where can a get an oem passenger door lock cylinder? i don't have a latch but i already have one coming in the mail

well here are my pistons. I'm sketched out by the scratches on the skirts. what do you guys think?




yup so i need new pistons and rods indefinitely. no chance of saving them. i finally took a good look and idk how i missed this the first time. i just hope the block is ok. the piston squirter in cylinder 1 is broken.... this needs to go get checked out asap

Ouch. Yeah, replace the pistons, and definitely check the block. Those scratches look a little deep.

yup number 4 cylinder is bent so something went wrong once upon a time

Bent rod, gouged pistons. Sounds like it may have over heated.

But it doesn't show it in the crank. No scarring or anything to the bearing surfaces. And no color change. I was thinking over boost since it does have after market parts to the car

I feel your pain. I'm waiting for a remanufactured engine to get here, so I can rebuild mine in my spare time.

well having 2 projects means absolutely no cash . and i now have to do a rf wheel bearing in my fiancee sunfire so no fun money this month
