Here are the banjo bolts I ordered from Oriellys so you know they will work. They are 2mm longer but work just fine. Even comes with the crush washers!
I checked it ALL out for sure first.

Well we went to the track and had fun and NO ISSUES (Breakage). I am sure everyone wants a great report and all but I have to report the good and BAD.
I can't get this big huffer away from the Christmas Tree. I am on a stock converter and no NOS (yet, burned up the solenoid last week). My 60' is absolutely atrocious as I can't build any boost to get me going and boost doesn't come in until 45-5k. So my ET's SUCK for now, hopefully the tuner (not me) can get her to light up quicker or has some tricks up his sleeve to help this out. 3 seconds to go 60' is stupid, the next 1260' is pretty dam good.
I also couldn't get the EBC to function so, I have some small gremlins but no big problems and the motor runs out to 8500 without stumbling so I am happy with it and the SmartShift 100.1 doing their jobs!
I am trapping 117+ mph and should be in the 11 second range along with the other guys trapping 117, but alas, I am in the low 14's.....embarrassing but I report it all so we can all learn together.
If anyone can help out on the spool up, I am open to trying something different in my tune and thanks all!
I will post up logs of the 2 of the 3 runs I got in in the group of 115 cars.
I'll put the video's up when I get home.
Marty

My son sent me the pictures that the racetrack put up and I am in 2 of them, LOL.

Shitty gas!
I get knock over 5* :(

It always sucks to post up the not so good things but I still had a good time and no what I need to address. Time to let the tuner know I am ready as soon as I replace the NOS solenoid.
1st video is the 1st run and 2nd video is the last run when I even pulled timing at spoolup but its hard to do on the stock converter, shes tight. I guess I'm in the try to chase them down club.
Last run coming.

Last run. Tried alot of things. I think I could push her off the line faster....
Pulled timing at converter limit, threw fuel to the early part of the run, bumped timing since I had 3 gallons of E85 in her. It was still fun and nothing broke.
I love our announcer!
It was a good day! :)

Hey Marty thanks for posting the Videos, that thing is moving once the boost kicks in! I’m sure with some nitrous you’ll get her going LOL, shows how drag racing isn’t as easy as some might think. I had a similar experience this past summer on the dsm82, I trapped about the same, 116-117ish with 2.xx whatever 60fts LOL. I had a better showing on my first trip with the 16g LOL. Launching isn’t as easy as some would think but like you said once you get her sorted out she’ll rip!

Hell I was cutting 3.3's ROFLROFLROFL. If it could leave I am sure I would be trapping 120+
On my second run, I forgot to put it in 1st gear so it launched in 2nd....went nowhere...popped it down to 1st....still crept out of the gate but ran 116 mph LOL. I need to go drive her now and make sure she is still just fine. I got her off the trailer last night.
Thanks for the encouragement fella's.
"Pops" ROFL

I also found out that no matter what I do, I can't make the thing build more than 33lbs of boost. EBC on 100%....no change.
Any ideas as to what issue I have? My son said I may have a pinched diaphragm in the WG, and that thing has 4 springs in it....PITA to push together and put the screws in her. Anyone have any idea's on why I can't get the TIAL WG to make any more boost?
Thanks in advance.

Which ones did he get, its hard to keep track between him and me LOL.
He's running 2150s I think. I am putting together a new motor for him. It just came from the machine shop Friday. He cracked a cylinder wall in the motor he was running AFTER he windowed the other one. Dad to the rescue I guess...... :)

Compairing my MPH to an 11.5 car that I ran against at the track and we are super close....in MPH, my ET and 60" SUCKED.
There is ALWAYS room for improvement but IDK about happiness!!!

Well Shift kit installed and broke my manual valve. I had 3 friends help me out on that screw up but totally on me. I took my time and was showing my younger son the process and the VERY LAST THING (which John from IPT covers at the first of his videos....thanks John!) I goofed up the position and bent the valve. Got it out then broke it so...but she lives and drives again and shifts quick, but I would set the pressure at only 1 turn out for my likings. Old fluid from the kiggly 5 pak upgrade looked fine. Hoping for good things to come now that I know what needs ironed out for the track!
New big brake upgrade pics to come too. Super nice swap!
Stay "tuned" and THANKS!
Pops

The 2g Big Brake swap from RockAuto (one of our Vendors). I had to split the brake hose stay in order to run the 2g hoses but that was a simple thing, the rest was complete bolt on and she is definitely stopping much quicker and easier with the dual piston calipers!
I am having a Wastegate control issue and have a couple members trying to help me diagnose that, so thanks guys!!!
This brake upgrade was very simple and looks great!
Enjoy!

I didn't know that RockAuto sold a big dual piston brake kit for 2g's! Checking it out right now!

EDIT: I'm not seeing it, could you drop me a link here?

Yep, here ya go..........

Now, Solomon, I THINK the FWD and AWD probably mount up the same but check that out first and this is under the turbocharged model but I wouldn't think Mitsubishi would change the front hub assemblies between the 2 but I am not sure. They only show SINGLE piston for the N/A cars but I bet they fit. Just research before you buy!
Marty

I do too. It should mount to the same holes. Ask on the one of the N/A members to double check!

Any update on this Marty? I have been curious. Did you try running it with no hose to the WG to see if it makes it past 33psi that way? It should... LOL

I was going to reroute my wg lines yesterday but got tied up working on a bench project in the shop. I am going to do that today. While I'm there I SHOULD try that so I quit chasing my tail.
Worked on my sons 7 bolt too. Should have the crank back this week, I hope. I'll report later today Will :)
