534 started in Ohio where a gentleman named Brent bought it from the original owner. Brent took it to RRE where it had all the original performance modifications done. The Galant vr4 upgrade path Belize green car photos where all when he owned it. He had the frank 2 turbo, TIAL 40mm gate, HKS 264/272 cams, exhaust, 2g maf, SAFC, Razzo shift indicator, RC 550cc injectors, supra 255 pump, RRE fmic, Greddy profec b turbo timer and gauges installed. He also had Sparco front and rear seats plus fuel door installed, Erebuni sides and rear with evo front and wing with shaved moldings, antenna and trunk key hole done covered by a kensington grey paint. he also added 18in. Blitz Technospeed wheels, energy suspension bushing kit, H&R Springs with KYB GAB struts. I picked it up from a mutual friend of ours local to me with out the wheels, fuel door, wing, or front carbon fiber front seats.

I was told it did 426hp at 18psi but have only found a dyno sheet for around 390. After buying I sorted out boost leaks and the boost controller not working, it later shattered 4th gear getting onto the hwy. locking all 4 wheels which was fun. So used the transmission and transfer case out of my 90 gsx that had electrical problems and was sitting. Fuel pump soon went out so grabbed the 3kgt pump from the gsx and got it back going once again. Later due to an oil leak I lost a rod bearing so the built engine from the gsx that I sold was resourced for the short block. Car did great for a long time. Had to install a new lightened flywheel and Centerforce dual friction clutch. Installed 720cc injectors, and a spoolin afpr with the boost set at 24psi. It ran great and got me to work and school. Had a oil pump come loose and fall out which decided to give me two timing belts and one less plug wire. Had a GVR4 buddy tow me to his house where he had a spare belt and wires so with in a few hours it was back and running with a mis under full boost (find out why years later). I sold it later to get into street bikes to a guy that worked for the friend I bought it from. He stopped by the shop I worked at and the throw out bearing destroyed itself in the parking lot, we replaced it and the profec b that died wile it was there. Found it years later after it sat in Houston and being sold to another gentleman, good guy btw didn't know what he was handed and sold it back for what I sold it for. I know it's a long story but I've owned the car twice so had to play catch up.

So went and picked it up out of the field it was sitting in after the previous owner replaced the transmission, clutch and flywheel again. Got it back and started seeing where I needed to start to get it back on the road, which was not as easy as I thought it would be. Did come with two stock bumpers he got off my buddy JNava.

Found spark plug wires arcing out, and both rear brake calipers were seized so started cleaning up, removed the greddy a/f gauge that gave out. Sourced a palm pilot to data log and an Ostrich 2.0. Juan had a friend Thomas parting out a gvr4 so I snagged all the side skirts, dog legs and door panels.

After rebuilding all the calipers and replacing the plug wires i started driving it every now and then trying to find what other problems it still had and why it was so underpowered. One day on the way to work It started to over heat on the hwy, anyone from Texas knows that the construction on I35 doesn't have a safe place to pull over so there was no option but to keep it running till an exit. That cost me a cylinder head where cylinder 1 wanted what cylinder 2 had going on. After I got home from work and started the tear down and sourced a good condition head locally from a friend. The intercooler pipe hit a hole into the radiator because of weak engine mounts. When swapping lifters over I found why it was under powered finally when I couldn't get them to come out. When the stock block spun a bearing I didn't get everything as clean as I thought I did and all the lifters caught all the metal shavings so the were no longer moving. Picked up a sirocco radiator, revised lifters, and fans and go it back together. soon found where my missing valve cover bolt went as I started to crank the engine. caught it fast and only cost a valve and spark plug.

In March of 2020 I decided to finally take a vacation and paint the car, my first day of vacation i get a call from work and they decided to lay 100+ people off because of covid and that included me.

Its bad when someone like me has too much time. The Texas sun was making it hard for the paint to cure and some parts gatored from drying too fast went to pull the car in the garage and the clutch pedal finally wore out. Out comes the dash and a phone call to JNZ where I sourced all available new bushings for the pedal assembly, shifter assembly, shift cable and bracket mounts. Managed to also find a new shifter.

Thing works fine if you can code, I can not haha. I'll have more updates posted in a little bit the I haven't posted it all yet.

That and like everyone on the only forum dedicated to it for DSMs are all giant assholes. Lol. ECMLink is superior in every way, I just have good memories with it. First thing I learned to tune on.

had the dash out so i might as well clean up all the wiring and pull out all the old gauges. Replace the broken center vent, steal the seats out of Jnavas car, install new boost gauge, wideband gauge, and install ECMlink.

As soon as I get the car in the garage Wyatt and Robert over at Forced Performance decide to do a stimulus sale well I grabbed an FP black, then a manifold and oil line. Almost forgot before I got it into the garage Jnava had a BJ's intake with s90 tb laying around that I picked up.

Damn, you bought a ton of parts from me from all those gvr4s I parted out. That's finally ended with 577/2k. Can't wait till your car is finished. May need your services with paint and body on the 1ga Talon.

Loving these upgrades!!
I'm in the process of using a 1G ETS FMIC core and custom-build some intercooler piping for my GVR4!
I plan to build a new intercooler just trying to get it together enough to sort everything out before doing more work. Made the mistake of doing a bunch of work at the same time of building my truck so I will be posting updates soon about all the problems that have popped up.

Finished the intercooler pipes and exhaust. As soon as I get the settings correct in the ecu I went to start the car the next day and had a loud pop on start up and it threw a rockers off. So pulled the lifter and checked it but found no problem so re installed and it ran fine. Next day had the same thing and a different rocker cam off but noticed the valve was still down. I expected the worst being a bent valve so i ran a scope in the injector hole to find the valve wasn't bent but everything looked coated in oil. Pulled the intake manifold and turns out it wasn't oil, the fuel had gone bad and turned to lacquer when the engine cooled off. When the cam was off the valve the valve was stuck in place so the piston caused it to pop back into place knocking the rocker off. Pulled the head and left it at a trans shop I do programing for and they were nice enough to throw it in the hot tank. Some how i was lucky enough no valves were bent and the head could go back on, bought some 112 octane from the gas station but the fuel pump lines and strainers in the tank along with all clamps had to be replaced. Tank wasnt bad but had to clean my hanger and fix my level sending unit that warped.

Figured Since its apart I should go ahead and install the new cam gears, replace the water pump, timing belt, tensioner and both pullies so I don't need to tear it back down in a few months just to do it again. Started right up and ran better than it ever has, good fuel cleaned the injectors right out with a little sea foam injector cleaner in the tank.
