I have a 1990 Eagle Talon TSi and I installed an air/fuel ratio gauge but only could find 1991 ECU pin outs. I heard that 1990 and 1991 have different ECU pin outs. Can anyone help me out or have the 1990 pin outs?

Thanks,
JON

I know that vfaq has them, but I was told that a few of those pins were wrong, and while looking at that diagram and compairing it to my car it seems as though vfaq does have it wrong. can anyone tell me where the egr-t pin is on a 1990 talon tsi awd. no abs, but all other options besides sunroof(non electrical anyways, so what does that matter)

I am wiring my wideband o2 sensor into my ecu and need to know what pin to tap into. also whats a good 12 volt sorce that comes on when you turn the key, was thinking about using the cd player but it says it has to have at least a 5 amp fuse inline with it. anyone know a good 12v sorce that is by the ecu, Im trying to keep these wires short.

its an lc-1 btw

The only pins that are different between the 90 and 91+ turbo ECUs are 6 and 14. They swapped position between 90 and 91. I haven't checked to make sure all the wire colors are the same but the pin assignments are the same except for those two.

what about the 12 volt supply, I tried the big black one with white stripes under the steering wheel and that didnt work, then I tried the black and yellow one that supplies the cig lighter and stuff. still no go. should all my calibration wires be grounded to the same place as my grounds for the analong outputs or not? right now the led and button are grounded to the same place as the analog grounds. I dont know if that changes anything, but the blue wire is grounded away from the two analog grounds as the instructions say.

12 Volt power wires are usually red. Just get out a test light, ground it, and start poking. It really shouldn't be too hard to find a power wire somewhere. Make sure you find a wire that's powered only when the ignition is on though.

I would have expected you to know how to tap into the MPI 12v wires just like for an SAFC.
The ECU turns that source on so your wideband would be powered whenever the ECU was.

ok well this is basically the first thing I've done electrically with the exception of plug and play stuff, and splicing every wire (cutting, twisting, electrical taping, the old fasion way, none of those couplers with plastic sleaves) for my new head unit. the thing said a 12v supply with at least a 5A fuse in line with it. I don't know which wires are power supplies, nor do I know which ones have 5A fuses with them.

what do those two wires control anyways?

I plugged a 1990 ECU into my 1991 car - the last 3 digits on the ECU I used were 903 and mine was 262 - anyways aside from (slightly) longer cranking time the car seems to drive just the same as it did before. All my gauges work and etc too.

edit: I fixed the "slightly longer" cranking time by fixing a fuel leak the car had developed when I took the fuel rail off and put it back on.

the ONLY thing that seems to have changed is if I go from boost to vac (shifting) the stock boost gauge spikes to 14psi after I let off before quickly going back to reading VAC.
