16g low boost problem

I have an ebay evo3 16g(I know) and it will only boost to 8 psi. I have adjusted the mbc all the way out and it makes no difference. I have also disconnected the hose on the wastegate actuator and it still only boosts to 8 psi. The are on the actuator moves freely and the diaphram holds vacuum up to 30 psi. Any ideas?

Check to see if your MBC is working properly. 8psi is the stock setting. Did it work properly before the 16g? I'm assuming since you are running an MBC your computer no longer has the stock control.

Then do a Boost Leak test.

No boost leaks. It was set at 14 psi with the old 16g.

Did you check to make sure the wastegate flapper is shut all the way? It should be so you have to pull the WGA arm out a little to attach it to the wastegate flapper lever.

Its closed. The j pipe bolts came loose today and caused a major boost leak.
