We are planning on stayin on the infeild of the track, anybody know how much money I should plan on for stay?
I stayed at the track last year. We got there at like 11pm and there was no one collecting $$$ so we just parked and pitched a tent. They came around in the morning and collected money for admission, but nothing for camping.

Falling asleep to the lovely sounds of the 4G63 in the distance all night was nice. Waking up and being at the track was nice also.

A six hour drive in what are essentially everyone's "work in progress" project cars means that your AAA Plus coverage won't get you home when you inevitably break something at NRP (or on the way to it, or on the way home from it).

That being said, we're still driving our 1g to Norwalk. ;)

I agree. I drove last year but I didn't run. Norwalk is also alot stickier than my local track and I am afraid I am going to break something and a $600 tow bill doesn't sound fun.

Well hopefully most of you can make it because it seems as this years shootout wil be the fastest yet. We just went to the track last night and ran a 9.05 @ 160 with our black drag evo. I honestly think if the track would have been prepped a little better we could have seen an 8. We have video's, Jarrod is working on now and the car is just crazy. Once you see the video you can tell that the track just was not up to par that night.

This years shootout plans to have the worlds fastest Evo (Buschur), the fastest AWD 4cyl in the world (Shep) and the fastest dsm in the world (Rau). I better grab the video camera for this one. Too bad my car isn't ready, sure would be fun to get blown away by one of those guys.

I'll be there in the dsmtuners sponsored talon, it'll just be parked somewhere decent as I won't actually be racing it this year.

So do we know if Shep or Rau will be running this year?

What does Shep need to run if he runs to be the fastest AWD car period?

Whats the admission? 20?

They both will be there for sure. I would assume that some records will be broken, hahaha. We shall see in 2 days.

Do you mind if I run open exhaust on the dyno Nick??? I can't find the studs for my o2 to downpipe so I'll have to run open exhaust this weekend.....:D

Shep needs to hit 7.670 to beat the HKS skyline's 7.671 for the world record. It probably won't happen this weekend, as far as I know Shep isn't running nitrous for the time being until he bests his 7.97 without it. But I wouldn't underestimate Shep either...

I'll be easy to spot this year with the new graphics on the vehicle.

I'll be at Dave's sunday after noon and I'll be at the track all day on Sunday. Leaving my house at 9am Saturday (only about a 2 hour drive for me).
